The Kaleidoscope Kids (K Kids) at WHBC is our ministry for children with special needs. Our vision for the K Kids ministry is for every child to know and experience the love of God by creating a positive, accepting environment to grow them in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Each child is a special gift from God and at WHBC we want you as

parents to know we love and accept all children and promise to do our part in their spiritual growth.

A Note from Our Pastor

What do you think is the largest sculpture in the United States? Most of us would guess that it is Mount Rushmore. But it is not even close.

Seventeen miles from Mount Rushmore is the sculpture of Crazy Horse pointing off into the distance. It is nearly ten times the size of the heads of the presidents. But interestingly, it was started in 1945 and has no specific date for completion. It is an incredibly impressive undertaking. But it was not completed in the lifetime of the one who started it. It may not be completed in our lifetime either.

All of us have unseen potential that takes a lifetime to be revealed. And if we are honest, some of it will never be realized in our time allotted here on Earth. But that does not mean that the work does not go on. We never know what God may do with the impact we leave on others.

Our church is no different. Each of us is helping to shape it. It is shaping each of us. And we come together and ask God to work within us and between us. It is an incredible undertaking.

The work of our church will not be completed in our lifetime; not even close. But the work we do now is

critical. The truth is that we are doing some really impressive work. We are so blessed in so many ways. Let’s do even better knowing that we will ultimately be remembered by pointing the way into the future.

I look forward to our continued growth together.

Drew

Please register ASAP because we need to get tshirt orders turned in very soon. It is going to be a great week of exploring the nature of God together. I am still looking for volunteers to help during the week. You can sign up at the same link given above or you can talk to me. We have already had some folks bring in supplies for VBS. Thank you so much to those who have. If you haven’t yet, don’t worry. There is still plenty of time! Most of the items are available at the Dollar Tree. You can bring them in at your convenience and place them in one of the collection tubs in the office, the foyer or the gym. Finally, Trekkers, the final deadline to reserve your spot for

PASSPORTkids camp is quickly approaching. This is an extended

weekend full of fun, fellowship and learning about God in new and

unique ways. You don’t want to miss out on this special opportunity.

There are still scholarships available, so don’t let the cost keep you

at home! Let me know as soon as possible if you plan to

attend so I can update our registration.

Blessings! Naomi Brown Minister to Children
