ways to safeguard your samples & make your freezer last longer...

1. Routinely remove ice build-up by gently cleaning with an ice scraper or a soft cloth. Be extra careful not to damage gaskets and door seals.

5. Make smart purchasing decisions. Avoid purchasing a new unit by cleaning out and consolidating where possible. Replace freezers older than 10 years.

3. Clear out & defrost. Remove old items to make space and prevent ice build-up by defrosting regularly.

4. Keep an inventory to keep samples organised & easily accessible.

2. Let it breathe • Check your filters are clean• Position your freezer so there is at least 150mm of space around,

behind and above it• Avoid storing anything on top of, or immediately around your freezer.
