The Wonderful World of Windows Computer Class

Fremont Middle School“Where Education Clicks”

The Wonderful World of Windows (WWW) is an interactive technology class, using software from Microsoft.

The middle school computer class works with Agent characters to increase the students’ computer skills. The agents are seen above as the students would see them are from Microsoft.

What does the class do?

1. The class is specifically designed for students to use problem solving, critical thinking skills, and ‘group think’ methods.

2. The class uses various communications skills to work through the projects. The goal for the projects is for all students to work together to complete the projects on time.

Goals of the WWW

“The primary goal of the WWW is to allow students to:

1. Explore – various technology tools in the classroom.

2. Exchange – information with others in their group.

3. Express – themselves using the tools of their future.

What are the agents’ jobs?

The WWW “agents” assist the students with instructions for the projects. When the agents do the explaining work it frees Mr. Krim to handle the tougher questions.

“We live in a time of constant and rapid change. What we learn today may become obsolete

tomorrow. To help our children thrive in this new, technologically driven world, we must give them

the tools they need.”Rick Mislan – www.mislan.com
