WEEKEND ACTIVITIESBOARDING
2014 / 2015
SATURDAY 28TH MARCH 2015 - viSiT To THe FLoATiNG MARKeT
WEEKEND ActivitiEs ProgrAmmE 2014 / 2015
· Once again we have a brilliant programme of weekend events which will keep you busy and interested.
· Each Friday evening we will take you on a short shopping trip to a local shopping centre. Here you can top up your supplies of snacks for the week, pick up some stationery or reading supplies, or start to buy some presents for your family and friends.
· All of our weekend activities are designed to support the Round Square IDEALS.
· We will also run some additional local trips on request, and you can suggest to your Head of House what you would like to do in small groups. These will be optional. For those in the higher year groups, you will have the opportunity for some study sessions supported by Secondary teachers.
· Whole day trips are usually on a Saturday and generally compulsory. It is important that you balance your school work with opportunities for relaxation.
· Both duty staff and outside professionals will help you to have an enjoyable and productive weekend.
· Saturday evening is barbecue followed by sporting activities, some time in our Café, or just chilling out with your friends.
· All costs for trips will be negotiated to the minimum
possible – costs are usually reduced considerably when booking a school party. The more students attend, the less it costs. The overall cost to attend every weekend trip for the year will be about 14000 baht.
· Entry and transport costs will be deducted from your school deposit so that you don’t have to think about paying anything at the weekend. Costs quoted do not include your spending money or transport, and all of our trips include additional travel insurance at an extra cost of 50 baht per person per trip.
· All of our activities have been carefully risk assessed, and any means of transport used has been inspected for suitability by school staff.
· All dates are provisional, and may be changed to accommodate events that we do not yet know about.
· We suggest that you bring your mobile phone on all outings so that you can contact us, and we can contact you. Please be careful with it – the school will not be held responsible for any damage, loss or theft.
· We recognise that our older students need additional study time, so weekend trips become optional for years 11, 12 and 13 as your exams or deadlines get near. Check each trip to see whether it is compulsory or optional, and plan your weekends accordingly.
