Welcome to the Go-Getters Team 5th grade General Supply List (previously sent home):

1 pack loose leaf paper 1 family-sized box of tissues 2 boxes of #2 pencils Cap erasers (1-2 boxes) 1 box of dry erase markers Highlighter Headphones or ear buds (in a gallon sized bag and labeled with your child’s name please)

These should be labeled with the student’s first and last name:

1 package of 3”x3” post-it notes Colored folders (2 pocket) with clasps for paper:

(green) label Social Studies

(yellow) label ELA

(red) for math with 20 sheet protectors placed inside

½ inch white binder labeled- Science

1 pencil pouch big enough to fit all their supplies

(no pencil boxes please- labeled with your child’s name please)

A ‘Just Right Chapter book” (see separate letter for more information)

These items will be required for our team: (Please be sure to bring these and keep stocked all year, as the school will not be supplying them!) • 1 or more packs of loose leaf paper – (A constant supply all year!)

• binder (to hold folders & paper)

• pencil pouch or case

• MANY pencils with erasers! – (A constant supply all year!)

• hand held pencil sharpener

• colored pencils, markers, or crayons

• glue (stick or bottle)

• small scissors (safety scissors are recommended)

• 1 or 2 boxes of tissues to set out in classroom

• optional: basic flash drive

• headphones, or ear buds, etc. (Jack standard headphone to MP3 or cd player type.)

• Dry-Erase markers (eraser optional – can use old sock!) – (A constant supply all year!)

• 5 folders (with 3 holes punched in them to fit in binder)

• 1 or 2 packs of regular size Post It Notes (any color)

• 2 composition notebooks

Make sure that your name is on everything that you bring, because you keep/use your own supplies!

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

We hope you all are having an outstanding summer! We are Miss Rockwell and

Ms. Malone, the sixth grade Pathfinders team teachers. We are excited to have you join

our team this year and look forward to working with you to do our best to provide

learning opportunities that will allow each child to work toward reaching his or her

potential.

We are eager to learn more about each child so we can maximize our efforts as a

collaborative team to best meet his or her educational needs. Parents and teachers

spend a great deal of time trying to teach children how to be successful. Please know

that we are always open to suggestions that you think will best support your child.

Even though we are living in challenging times, we will provide your child with a

memorable year. This district will be in contact with you regarding important dates and

information as we navigate these times.

We are looking forward to a fantastic school year. Let’s work together to ensure

After obtaining your supplies, please do the following before the first day of school: 1. On the front of one of the plastic folders, please label Homework Folder and your

name. On the inside left pocket please label Return to School. On the inside right

pocket please label Keep at Home.

2. On the front of the other plastic folder, please label Resources Folder and your

name. On the inside left pocket please label Malone. On the inside right pocket

please label Rockwell.

3. Pencils, highlighters, calculators, colored pencils, and dry erase markers can be

stored in the pencil pouch. Please label all of your supplies with your name.

4. Ear buds should be put in a Ziploc bag also labeled with your name.

***We ask that you do not send any additional items to school with your student as we do

not have space to store them. Thank you!
