FutureDesignATM

40 years have passed since the first ATMs were introduced to the public. But the ATM right now it is still not truly like an“automated teller”.

OLD

The consumer experience at the ATM has been stagnant for more than 20 years while the user interface and media handling technology has evolved considerably. I think it is right time to re-design a new ATM.

ResearchINTRO 101

ATM machine revolutionized Bankbusiness. This type of service that allows customers to withdraw money without going to the bank. It is a fast and convenient service. The ATM also extended Bank’s services to 24 hours and everywhere.

ATM IS A TYPE OF 24/7 SELF-SERVICE

Top ATM FrustrationAccording to Synergistic Research Group’s new survey,

47%of the people surveyed said trying to read an ATM screen under the sunlight is so hard

Other survey findings include 32 percent - not enough ATM locations

25 percent – inadequate privacy

21 percent - not safe

18 percent - too slow

16 percent - screen too small

14 percent - print too small

13 percent - not enough activities

According to survey. 90%of consumers don’t familiarwith ATM skimming

Worried about security21% percent surveyed reported that a lack of confidence the machine got the deposit right deterred them from making cash/check deposits at an ATM.

Consumers prefer to use on-premise ATMsthe majority of consumers (70%) prefer to use on-premise ATMs. This is because they feel it is moresecure.

Design conceptATM skimming is always a big problem. In this design I designed a display at the front of the main part of ATM. It has two functions. One is it can protect ATM from ATM skimming, another one is it can show some advertisements on the screen, which can attract consumers come to this ATM

Protection

Simple and easy to useRight now almost every existing ATMs look complicate and easy to make a new user feel confuse. There are having too many function models on the ATM and most of them can be combined as one. Thus in this design simple and easy to use is another problem I solved.

• Use your cellphone to touch NFC area and

• Push the touch pad

• Withdraw/deposit money

unlock this ATM

Why I designed a fold displayIn this design, when consumers do every operating works on the bottom touch pad part, the fold display can also be seen as a protector of your personal account information. It can protect other people to see your pin number or how muchmoney you get from the ATM. In addition, the process of pushing display and star ATM is a very interesting use experience, which I am sure makes this ATM more attractive.

Phase 3 When the display is locked, it can protect ATM from ATM skimming and outside damage. When it is activated, consumer will do all the operating works under the display. That design will make other people can’t know what you are doing on this ATM. Thus that design can’t protect your pin number and any other information about you account.

When you push the transparent display, the display will fold back. And the bottom touch pad part will also fold at the same time. Then the transparent will show the interface and consumers do every operating work at the touch pad, which is under the display

When it locked, it is much safer than the exciting ATM. The transparent display has two functions. One is the transparent display can protect ATM from the ATM skimming, another one is the transparent display can show different advertisements on the screen that can attracted more consumers come to this ATM.

AdvantagesSafer

New interactive wayCompare to the exciting ATM, this concept ATM can provide better interactive experience to consumers.

Easy to understand and useThe one of biggest problem of Exciting ATM is it looks so complicate. However this new designed ATM is much simpler and clear than the exciting ATM. The bigger screen and new interface can easily guild consumer to use the ATM ATM design

ROUGH CONCEPTOur research showed that the general attitude of single adults 25-35 is that gardening is interesting to them and could be a great source of pride. However, they viewed gardening as too difficult and not a sustainable hobby given the active nature of their lives. Urban self watering planter is my answer to this problem

SUPPORT TECHNOLOGYWick methodThe wick method is an old method in whicha thread of cotton or poly nylon is used to wick water from a reservoir to a soiled bed. Our own experiments found that of a twine, plastic rope, and nylon thread. Only a tightly braided wick would effectively move water consistently

Van

VanDesignInterior

Most of Van are too older, and out of fashion. These big Automobile factories seem not verycare about Van design. They think function is the main point of Van, not how it looks like.

However, in some developing country Van is not just a tool; users also use Van in their ordinary life. The main reason is that they cannot aord to buy another car for traveling or shopping.

Thus I think there is a big opportunity, if there is a Van can be used for transportation and ordinary daily life.

Concept

This a concept camping flashlightit is designed for a family who go to camping with their children.

The main goal is to help childrento learn something from campingand to know more about our nature world.

The research result shows that to help Cabela’s to design a product, which could help female to educate their children, is a good idea. First camping is a great opportunity for children to know outside world. Second most female may have a lot of free time whenthey go camping. They can use these times to help theirchildren or their young cousin to learn something about nature.

When a big family go camping or hunting. females are always stayin camps with their young children, but why they not use this opportunityto help their children to know thenature world?
