Since most of your classes at Wesleyan will have fewer than twenty students, you’ll be well known by every professor you have. But be prepared: they’ll expect you to speak up and express yourself. Student LifeLife outside the classroom is a pretty big component of happy college days, and we guarantee you will become involved in more than academic classes at Wesleyan. Wesleyan women aren’t the types to keep their noses buried in books from morning to night. Sure, we study – and study hard – but we also like to play. You might try out for any of Wesleyan’s six varsity teams, join one of our twenty-six clubs and musical groups, or one of thirteen academic honor societies. And there’s so much more. Wesleyan is a tight weave of traditions that combine to create what we call “sisterhood.” Depending on your year, you will be a Green Knight, Pirate, Purple Knight, or Golden Heart. We could go on and on about our traditions, but we’ll save the rest for when you come and visit.

Wesleyan’s 200-acre lakeside campus features historically significant Georgian-style red brick buildings; multi-million dollar wellness, athletic, and equestrian facilities; a student café; art studios; science labs… in other words, all the comforts of home – and then some. Wesleyan is nestled in a northern suburb of Macon, right in the middle of Georgia. We’re easily accessible off I-475, just ninety minutes south of Atlanta.

Exciting News at Wesleyan: Pending approval by the Georgia Board of Nursing and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools/Commission on Colleges, Wesleyan College plans to introduce a baccalaureate in nursing degree with core nursing courses beginning Fall 2013. Interested students are encouraged to begin the prerequisite coursework as soon as possible.

AthleticsWith six NCAA Division III sports teams – including soccer, basketball, tennis, softball, volleyball, and cross country – the Wesleyan Pioneers regularly win All-Conference and All-Academic honors. Wesleyan College is well-known for its outstanding equestrian program. With two national champions in hunt seat and western events in recent years, we really fit well in the saddle. Our equestrians compete in Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) and Affiliated National Riding Commission (ANRC) events. ScholarshipsAs one of the nation’s most affordable selective colleges, Wesleyan raises millions of dollars each year for student scholarships, grants, and campus jobs. The College offers a strong merit scholarship program as well as comprehensive financial aid. In part, this commitment to creating financial access for students and their families has enabled Wesleyan to attract an extremely talented and diverse student body. Students may be eligible for Merit, Leadership and Fine Arts Awards based on their GPA, test scores, and auditions or portfolio presentations. Students are also encouraged to meet the eligibility requirements to compete for full tuition scholarships awarded at our annual Scholarship Day in February. Wesleyan’s premier full tuition scholarships valued at $18,500 are awarded in the categories of Math and Science, Humanities, Fine Arts, Social Sciences, and Faith and Service.

How about now.Applying to Wesleyan is easy as long as you follow these steps carefully and submit all materials on time.

1. Complete an application form online at: www.wesleyancollege.edu/apply2. Ask a secondary school counselor to complete a recommendation form on your behalf.3. Ask a teacher to complete a recommendation form on your behalf.4. Ask your counselor to send your high school transcript or your GED scores to Wesleyan College.5. If your SAT and/or ACT scores don’t appear on your transcript, you must arrange for them to be sent to Wesleyan College by the testing agency. Tell the agency Wesleyan’s identification codes: SAT 5895 or ACT 0876.
