Dear families and friends of our school,

What a week! Thank you to Alison who toiled to complete the annual school financial rollover. This is a task that I would not be able to sign off on without the wonderful support of Cindy, Alison and Denise!

The End of Year Assembly is planned and we are looking forward to sharing our school and achievements with you. If you are planning to attend, please complete and return the attached note. This will help with catering. At this Assembly we will be recognising the support that some community organisations and agencies provide to our school. We are very excited to announce that our Federal Member of Parliament, Justine Elliot will be joining us. Justine is a great supporter of education and a great friend to the environment.

As the term winds down and the swimming scheme comes to an end please check to see if your family has paid for the program. Again, I thank the P and C for their support of this program that enabled EVERY FAMILY to participate at a reduced cost.

Thank you to Kal, Bella and Andoah for a wonderful time on the Year 6 Excursion to Sydney last week. The most impressive aspect of this excursion was the outstanding behaviour of our students on this trip. I was very tired from the excursion on Sunday morning!

Year 6 students are invited to attend as my guests. A note has been sent home this week to Year 5 and Year 6.

Friday February 20. This will be our first whole school day trip for 2015.It will be the Day of Surfing, Sand Sculpting and a School Picnic. Costing for this day will be

minimal and I will advise you of that, as we get closer to the time.

Principal’s Report

A big thank you to our helpers.

The school has had a busy week moving the library of the contents to what was Helen Lonard’s room. We would like to thank all the children who helped carry books and to Sharon and Janey for their valued contribution.

We would also like to thank Sharon and Rich for a delicious lunch on Friday.

Cuba’s Lost Glasses

Cuba misplaced his glasses around three weeks ago. The glasses were in a dinosaur case and after much searching at school and home have not been found. Cuba may have left them at a friends place while playing. If anyone has any knowledge of their whereabouts please contact the school.

End of Year Presentation

The End of Year Presentation will be held on Tuesday 9th December at 10am. There will be a community morning tea served after the presentation. We ask that all parents bring a plate to share and join us for this event.

Canteen Information

There will be no pre-ordering of lunches in the future. We will be resuming the previous arrangement of bringing in the form and money on the day of canteen.

Harvesting the yield

Beans and cucumbers galore!

After returning from swimming the children had the pleasure of eating cold cucumbers, fresh from the garden that they helped to cultivate.

The price for Friday Canteen has been set at $5.00 by the

P&C.

Note: The $5 is for lunch and dessert.

Recess is extra so bring about $1 or $2 depending on how

much your child eats at recess.
