Oh Yes It IS… A Pantomime!
For our main Christmas event on Saturday 16th December 2017 we were treated
to a pantomime performance by the highly entertaining Troubadour Productions.
Their version of Aladdin was wonderful and the nursing lounge was packed with
residents, relatives and friends who came along to join the fun. Activities
Coordinator Irene even had a cameo role as the Genie of the Lamp!

“Up until today (Sunday 7th Jan) the boys have won 5, drawn 2 and lost
1 of their league games and at Xmas were top of the league. The boys
have been very impressive in most of their games this year, not only
in the standard of the football that they have been playing but also in
their teamwork and support for one another when things are not going
as smoothly as expected. We are also through to the last eight in the
county cup with this game due to be played on 20th January.
Unfortunately, we have lost one player to a long term injury and
another has decided that he no longer wants to play football, but on
the plus side we have also signed three new players since the start of
the season and I am sure that these additions will only help to maintain
the strength of the team of the second half of the season!”
Woodbury House proudly sponsor Spencer’s Wood football team,
run by the son and grandson of resident Alec Bunting. Coach Paul
has been keeping us up to date with their successes and has summarized their league performance so far for us.
