UNSCR 1540 : The 1540 Committee

The Committee serves as a clearinghouse for

dealing with requests for assistance by facilitating

bilateral State arrangements as well as drawing

upon the expertise and experience with assistance

programmes of inter-governmental organizations

such as the International Atomic Energy Agency

(IAEA), the Organisation for the Prohibition of

Chemical Weapons (OPCW), the World Customs

Organization (WCO), the World Health

Organization (WHO) and indeed, the World

Organisation for Animal Health (OIE)
