Lauren Moore Some People Change

Growing up as a child, my mom was always there for me.

“She quit doing her motherly duties…”

She quit her job and began to stop caring about everything.

She was changing into a person completely different than what I thought my mom would ever be.

My dad took charge.

But things spiraled downhill pretty quickly.

Time changes people. Sometimes we don’t know why they change but there’s not much we can do to stop it.

I don’t know what I want to do when I’m older, but one thing is for sure, I won’t end up like my mom.
