MESSAGE
The Aragon of the 21st century is recognized across the globe as a cutting edge logistic platform, due to a combination of influential factors: its geo strategical location, available land area, the concentration of economic activity in the area, the intermodality and transport network with the capacity of connecting various corridors and routes. Zaragoza Logistics Center has established itself as an international center of excellence in research and education in logistics, which actively participates with the industry and public sectors to develop and disseminate knowledge in this area. Unquestionably, the partnership with the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and being part of the MIT Global Scale Network, provides the Center with a first class presence and international projection. But at the same time the ZLC retains a strong, dedicated commitment of service locally, working in close cooperation with the University of Zaragoza, technological centers and research institutes, economic and financial agents and our own business network.ZLC has managed to perfectly combine its visibility and international standing, paying attention to local needs, both in training and joint projects with companies. The transfer of knowledge to the Aragonese business sector has seen substantial increase in the competitiveness of the sector, which has the knock-on effect of benefitting our Autonomous Community. The commitment to ZLC is one of strategy, according to the Governement of Aragon, highlighting this as one of the fundamental values in the commitment to logistics.
Pilar AlegríaMinistry of Innovation, Research and University, Government of Aragón

Once again, ZLC is proud of its international recognition in the field of logistics and supply chain management. The consistency of good work and perseverance are the main facilitators that ensure continuity and development potential. This year, two new programs have joined the training offer of ZLC - Blended and 3C- carried out in collaboration with other centers of the Scale network. This launching of new programs in the current panorama of the globalized and competitive world, have confirmed the value and leadership of ZLC, been well-received in terms of the number of students, due to the number one ranking from Eduniversal and of course, never forgetting our formidable team on the floor, expertly integrating the entire structure. The response obtained as a result of the organization of workshops, congresses and active participation in visibility events in general, ensures a growth of the network for which ZLC continuously works to strengthen and consolidate, discovering the inherent talent among professionals and motivating the approach to this community. The launch of the executive club in Supply Chain aims to be the tool to approach professionals in the sector and the network of alumni, to bring trends in the sector and foster a collaborative environment at every level, taking advantage not only of the international projection but also the strong vocation with the closest industrial fabric, where ZLC wants to share and accompany companies in achieving their objectives through collaboration and the dissemination of research results.Of course, all this would not be possible without the team that makes up the ZLC family -professors, staff, students and external collaborators- and who strive, every single day, to improve their performance and thus achieve the set objectives and meet deadlines.

Students gain exposure to an international environment by studying in three continents: Asia, Europe and North America. The program prepares graduates to navigate an intensely competitive commercial landscape that is evolving rapidly due to globalization.
The blended master’s degree refers to a new option that has been developed by MIT that allows learners to combine the MITx MicroMasters credential with a 3 week stay at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), one semester at Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC) in Zaragoza, Spain and a capstone project. The MicroMasters credential requires a learner to pass five rigorous online courses in supply chain management and a proctored comprehensive exam.

ABOUT US
Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC) is a research institute established by the Government of Aragon in Spain in partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the University of Zaragoza (UZ). Founded in 2003, the ZLC campus is located in the heart of PLAZA, the largest logistics park in the southwest of Europe that serves as a working laboratory to transfer new knowledge and working practices. ZLC mission is to be an international center of excellence for research and education in logistics and SCM that actively engages with industry and the public sector to develop and disseminate knowledge. To accomplish its mission ZLC partnered with the MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics to form the MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program, a unique model of collaboration between industry, government and academia. This successful partnership led to the creation of the MIT Global SCALE Network that now spans four continents. In addition, ZLC participates in several national and international research and educational initiatives.

ZLC is directly linked to the development of PLAZA - a 13 million square-meter complex of distribution, intermodal transportation, customs, commercial, and recreational services. It is at the hub of 3 major highways, near the high-speed railway that connects Madrid and Barcelona, and beside an airport accommodating the world’s largest cargo planes.
In 2008 the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science officially recognized ZLC as a Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO). ZLC is a member of the National Center of Excellence for research in the area of logistics and supply chain management, CNC LOGISTICA, that was created in 2006 by ZLC together with three other institutions. The participation of this center puts ZLC in a leading role to define and coordinate research, development and innovation initiatives across Spain in logistics and supply chain management.ZLC has the continued support of local savings bank Ibercaja and the European Social Fund in its activities.
MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics
ZLC has been awarded by the European Commission with The Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). The ECHE provides the general quality framework for European and international cooperation activities a higher education institution (HEI) may carry out within the Program. The award of an Erasmus Charter for Higher Education is a pre-requisite for all institutions wishing to participate in Erasmus+ and participate in learning mobility of individuals and/or cooperation for innovation and good practices under the Program. The Charter is awarded for the full duration of the Program (2014-2020).
