Masks for Mass – The response has been overwhelming for need of masks. Anyone able to sew and willing to donate your time to this ministry would be appreciated. Supplies and fabric can be provided to you. Call Donna Werst at 479-640-2618 if you are interested. Any money donated for masks goes to the SSBC who help our neighbors in need. An Invite to Pray – Two Saturday’s ago was the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. At Fatima, the Blessed Mother asked us to pray for the conversion of the hearts of sinners in order to avoid condemnation of their unrepentant souls by returning to the loving embrace of the Lord, the Just Judge. Will the Lord find any faith in the world when He returns? (Lk 18:8) In this time of continual crisis, may we continue to offer the Most Holy Rosary and the Divine Mercy Chaplet, imploring the Lord’s Mercy and Peace upon our nation and the world.

Sunday Rosary – We invite you to pray the rosary in Spanish every Sunday at 11:00 am in the Saint Francis of Assisi chapel. We will offer the rosary for the conversion of the world. Everyone is welcome!

Divine Mercy Chaplet – Starting July 5th, and continuing until noted otherwise, you are invited to join us as we pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet begin at 4:40pm in the Chapel in English before the 5:00pm Sunday Mass! We are excited to be able to provide this opportunity again. Laminated prayer cards will be made available. Once the prayer has ended, please place the prayer cards in the designated basket in the back for disinfecting.

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is a special prayer dictated by Jesus to St. Faustina Kowalska. It was the Lord’s desire that this prayer be made known to all souls, for the conversion of sinners.

“Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13

“Entonces me llamarás y vendrás a rezarme, y te escucharé.

Mass Time Change – During COVID-19 when the church resumed public Masses, we added the 2:00pm Mass without music, attendance has remained from 35 to 60 people. Due to low attendance, this Mass will be discontinued at the end of July. We do have an overflow section in the Family Life Center which is still not being used during phase 2; so there is plenty of space available, and the other Masses are being live streamed in that space.

First Communion – Congratulations to the following kids who have completed preparation for First Communion and will receive it at different times over the course of the summer. Even though it was a little different this year, we are very excited for them as they continue on their faith journey: Manfredo Aguilar, Matthew Aguilar, Alexia Almaraz, Esmeralda Almaraz, Isabela Almaraz, Rick Almaraz, Tristan Almogela, Santiago Avelleyra, Colin Boyne, Evelyn Castaneda, Olivia Cooper, Ellie Costantini, Anthony Cox, Mason Dalmut, Mollie Kate Destino, Jaden Diaz, Olivia Evener, Ysnard Flores, Julia Fogle, Sofia Flores, Emma Fowler, Alexander Garcia, Derek Garcia, Natalie Garcia, Catherine George, Andrea Gonzalez, Romina Gonzalez, Max Harbaugh, Mallory Henry, Lizeth Hernandez, Landon Higginbotham, Teddy Higson, Mary Ansley Hill, Sydney Johnson, Dillon Jones, Jocelyn Kalcevic, Kai Keller, Aiden Knight, Julieta Lara, Anna Belle Mackey, Izabella Mazzanti, John Paul McAdams, Myles Mealing, Emma Mendoza, Rigoberto Mendoza, Alex Merlos, Chanley Moore, Charles Moravec, Brynn Morrissey, Enrique Negrete, Pola O’Brient, Gianna Oddone, Tatum Osborne, Saarah Padmaprabhu, Olivia Pantier, Mason Paprocki, Alondra Perez, Samuel Porta, Xavi Quiros, Madelynn Richard, Agustin Rosso, Jackson Routon, Toribio Rubio, Fatima Sanabria, Georgia Schulte, Madden Seymore, Jeremy Shook, Tyler Slepecki, Chelsa Sooraj, Aldo Joel Trujillo, Joseph Trujillo, Dylan Van Hoek, Amy Venegas, Joseph Zabal.

Cancel Your Envelopes – For those parishioners donating regularly online, you may no longer be using your weekly envelopes. If you aren’t using them, please let us know so we can take your name off the list. Doing so will help us save on printing and shipping costs, and we greatly appreciate your help.

If you aren’t currently using electronic giving but would like to enroll, there are forms for automatic bank transfers in the Narthex, or you can click “Donate”on the St. Stephen website, or the parish app. Please call the accounting office with any questions. Hard Hat Collection Weekend – There will be a Hard Hat collection this weekend to go toward paying the loan we received from the Diocese for church repairs. As the hard hats will not be passed around, please place your donation in the regular collection basket. Our goal is to collect $19,440 each month to cover the loan payment. Thank you for your prayerful consideration.

Peter’s Pence Collection will be next week. This collection provides Pope Francis with the funds to carry out his charitable works around the world. The proceeds benefit our brothers and sisters on the margins of society, including victims of war, oppression, and disasters. Please be generous. For more information, visit www.usccb.org/peters-pence.

NWA Respect Life News – It's hard to believe but we are fast approaching a 1-year milestone here in Northwest Arkansas. July 25 will mark one full year that Planned Parenthood closed its' doors and NWA is abortion center free! Praise God! To celebrate this truly miraculous Victory in Christ, NWA Respect Life will gather for a Celebrate Life event. Pastor David Dodson of the Old Missouri Baptist Church on 2950 S Old Missouri Rd in Springdale is kind enough to open his doors for this celebration. Mark your calendar for Saturday, July 25th at 4:00 p.m. We will enjoy a potluck (thinking BBQ), power point pictures of past/future events, and short presentations on Loving Choices since the closing of Planned Parenthood and from a new adoption agency, Shared Beginnings. I am thrilled to let you know that another baby was saved through the Safe Haven Baby Box. A 6-hour old infant was placed in the Safe Haven at a Fire Station in North Texas. Please keep in your prayers our efforts to establish this life saving effort here in NWA. Memorial Crosses – They are making headway on building 1,000 Memorial Crosses to honor and remember those who have died unborn. Over 3,000 unborn have been aborted every year in just Arkansas. The making of the crosses is easy and can be a personal, family or small group project. All it takes is a miter saw, drill press and a bit of time here and there. They supply the materials! Please visit www.nwarespectlife.org/cross-memorials for pictures of previous displays and for more details. If you would like to help out either with your time and/or treasure please call Sheila Pursell at 469-231-1959.

Five Month Developing Baby – Your spiritually adopted weighs over one pound. The mother can feel his/her movement now. Before he/she was too small for the mom to feel. Although he/she swam with ease in the watery world, he/she needed to be big and strong to kick hard against the outside wall and dent it – the inside wall of the uterus had no feeling before. We are mid-way through the pregnancy. Your prayers have helped your baby’s mother continue her pregnancy & seek the help she needs.

Spiritual Work of Mercy – It is a Spiritual Work of Mercy to pray for the deceased. The death toll now in the United States is 128,000+ and world-wide death toll is now at 506,000+ due to Covid-19. Many of these persons have been buried without the customary religious services, and some have no one to pray for the repose of their souls. While we continue to pray for an end to the pandemic & all those who have been affected, in charity, let us not forget to assist the faithful departed with our prayers & Masses.

Faithful Departed Prayer Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in Peace. Amen
