The scales of pay as per sixth pay commission for the posts shall be as follows:

Professor : Rs 37400-67000+AGP Rs.10000

Associate Professor : Rs 37400-67000+AGP Rs.9000

Assistant Professor : Rs15600-39100+AGP Rs.6000

The Persons appointed against this advertisement shall be eligible for the retirementbenefits as per the various GRs issued by State Government from time to time. The Institute encourages interaction of faculty with Industry, other research andprofessional institutions. Consultancy and Testing , conducting continuing education programmes areencouraged, and liberal policies are in place. There is no upper limit on earningthrough consultancy.

The closing date for online submission of application is 27th March. 2014, and closingdate for submitting hard copy (print out of the application submitted online) is 3rdApril, 2014.1. Reservation of Posts:• Candidates belonging to backward class category must submit CasteCertificate and Caste Validity Certificate issued by Government ofMaharashtra authority (Non-Creamy Layer Certificate in case of OBC, NT-1,NT-2, NT-3, VJ, DT and SBC Category candidates) along with theirapplications.

In case the candidate does not have Caste Validity Certificate he/she shouldsubmit the same within 6[Six] months of his/her appointment otherwisehis/her services will be terminated.

For claiming reservation candidates must be domiciled of Maharashtra. The reservation for lady candidates will be as per rules. Reservation for Physically Handicapped candidates will be as per rules. C. For Science Disciplines (Chemistry/ Physics / Mathematics /Humanities)SrNo Cadre Prescribed Qualifications1 Assistant

Professori] Good academic record as defined by the concerned University withat least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on point scale wherevergrading system is followed) at Master's Degree level in relevantsubject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from anaccredited foreign university..ii] Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must havecleared the national Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIRor similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.iii] Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-clause (i) and (ii) tothis Clause, candidates, who are, or have been awarded Ph.D. Degree inaccordance with the University Grants Commission (MinimumStandards and Procedure for Award of Ph. D Degree) Regulations,2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimumeligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment andappointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions inUniversity/Colleges/Institutionsiv] NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such MastersProgrammes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted.

For all the posts the knowledge of higher level of Marathi and Hindi iscompulsory.

4. AGE as on the last date of online submission of application, as per Notification Dated 10th

1. Professors not more than 54 years.2. Associate Professor not more than 50 years.3. Assistant Professor not more than 35 years.

Relaxation in age limit for the Reserve category candidates willbe as per the Govt. of Maharashtra norms

5. INTERVIEW SCHEDULE AND MODE OF SELECTION:

F o r t h e P os t of Assistant Professor candidates should come preparedfor a written test. Only those who qualify in the written test will be eligiblefor interview as per a ratio depending upon the number of posts. For the post of Professor and Associate Professor, presentation ismandatory The details regarding schedule of written test, presentation and interviewwill be displayed on the web site of the institute and will be communicatedsuitably.

6. IMPORTANTINSTRUCTIONS:1. Experience Certificate should clearly mention nature of appointment periodof appointment and scale of pay.2. Experience at a stretch for a period of six months and above will only beconsidered as a valid experience.3. The academic qualification and experience acquired as on last date ofsubmission of application form will be taken into account for determiningthe eligibility of candidates for the posts and for selecting them for theinterview.4. Appointment order and Relieving order will not be considered in lieu ofExperience certificate, and such experience will not be counted.5. Applications must be accompanied by Passport size Photograph of thecandidate along with photocopies of the relevant documents indicatingqualification, age, category, experience etc. and demand draft, failing whichthe application will be treated as incomplete and liable to be summarilyrejected.6. The candidates who want to apply for more than one post should submitseparate applications as well as separate Demand Drafts as mentionedabove.7. Candidates must produce all original certificates at the time of interview.
