YUXIAN, SHANXI PROVINCE, CHINAMUSEUM & CULTURAL CENTER LECTURER: ASTERIOS AGKATHIDIS
In the context of climate variation, anthropogenic factors are human activities which affect the climate. The scientific consensus on climate change is ‘that climate is chang-ing and that these changes are in large part caused by human activities, and it is largely irrevers-ible’. These human activities spe-cific express in my hometown is the coal-burning. To exploit overly the natural resources of a country, even this world will causes climate change. This situation drive me to make the project concept as cli-mate changes diagram.

The Yuxian Museum & Cultural Center is a two-story museum building located in the mountain slope, which is the normal terrain in North of China. On the ground level, wooden facades make up the base of the building, the material is second-hand wood pieces recycled from demolished old houses. The souvenir store on the sec-ond level and then the ‘museum journey’ comes to the final part -- taking the glass sightseeing elevator to the lobby.

LUJIAZUI, SHANGHAI,CHINATONY’S ORGANIC CLUBINTERNSHIP PROJECT
SINGLE SET OF ELECTRIC SUNSHADING SYSTEM
This project is located in lujiazui, Shanghai. Playze in charge of this project in September, 2011. The client is Tony’s Farm (www.tonysfarm.com/) which is the largest organic vegetable farm in Shanghai, providing the healthiest and freshest organic vegetables to thousands of Shanghai residents every day.
The building in lujiazui is an old building and Playze redesign the building based on the old one, which includes the facade architecture & interior space.
FACADE INSPIRATION
FACADE NIGHT VIEW OF TONY’S CLUB
The Sunshading System is the main task during my intern and it is also the focus point of the facade de-sign for this project. These pictures are nicely show how it works ( Right).
I learned a lot not only with respect to a real project matters but also with regard to teamwork as well as communication to contractor, suppliers etc. During this three-months internship program, I absorbed a lot from a real project. We always design what we like in school, no need to consider “client” matters. But that’s really different from the reality, it is, we alway need to make the balance between client and contractor, even between client and suppliers.

The interior of Tony’s Club is ‘BOX’. This concept applied everywhere -- ceiling, wall, reception, the gaint stair. This Gaint Stair not only for walking, it’s also for display, presentation, meeting, rest etc.

MEDICAL PRACTICE PSYCHOLOGY CLINICLECTURER: MARIANNA CAVADA
Nowadays, a lot of pressure and stress on the urban living people, they need a place to pour out everything, that is why I choose Psychology Clinic as the medical typology. I intend to create a medical space that can make an at-mosphere you don’t think you are in a clinic. To achieve this goal, I want to bring nature inside, that means a kind of fusion between the house and nature. Those elements can clear your mind and lift your mood. The glass is one point as well, the transparency make you open your heart.

Switchable liquid crystal glass is a popular choice for any application including the home, corporate en-vironment, or anywhere else there is a need for privacy or protection. Eliminating the need for shades, curtains or blinds, the liquid crystal in the glass protects fine furnish-ings, carpets and displays from UV damage and the view of others.
Psychotherapy involves a formal re-lationship between professional and client — usually an individual, couple, family, or small group — that employs a set of procedures intended to form a therapeutic alliance, explore the nature of psychological problems, and encourage new ways of thinking, feeling, or behaving.

The Mask is a two and half story exhi-bition building located in the Jing’an Park. On the ground level, there are several waterfall and water pool for leisure, and also the exhibition walls exist for the mainly exhibition use. The ground level becomes an extension of the existing lawn. The big slope is not only for walking, but also for rest use, playground use etc.

HongKong Children’s Wear Brand KELKEL use ‘Creating Fashion ICON, need to grasp from baby’ as philosophy for their brand. Exquisite fabric, the design with fun, nice cutting, these elements make the children become FASHION, and do not lose children’s simplicity at the same time.

Zongzi (Chinese: 粽子) is a traditional Chinese food, made of glutinous rice stuffed with different fillings and wrapped in bamboo, reed, or other large flat leaves. They are cooked by steaming or boiling. Zongzi are traditionally eaten during the Dragon Boat Festival (Mandarin: Duanwu), which falls on the fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar.

PAlong with The China’s rapid development in the 21st century, high-demolition rate of old houses are persistent in cities around China, Afterwards, one new city rises, another new city rises, and another… they rise increasingly. And more and more traditional residences in China which have the significant Chinese characteristic become rare. As a result, we have realized the importance of the historical and cultural protection, and renovation and transformation of old buildings, old houses, old factories has become the most sought-after architectural design topics. Thus, I want to foucus on this topic for my project.

The proposed buildings are located at Liyang Road across Dong yuhang Road and along the bank of branch of Huangpu River. It is near the famous art centre -- 1933.
Those buildings were established in 1930s, they are really old and the residents who live in, built some extra structure on the top.
Those pictures appropriately show the life and interesting elements in LongTang.
MACRO SITE PLAN OF PROPOSED BUILDING
VI & NAVIGATION SYSTEM The aim of this Boutique Hotel project is to make FUSHION between the Shanghai Lilong living and hotel. Thus, the shadows try to keep some existing residence in the Boutique Hotel. (The red circles are proposed service alley)
After some analysis, included orientations, privacy, I confirmed the final residence distribution range (as shown below).
This solution as compared to external ‘FUSION’.
Now the internal ‘FUSION’ comes. Here I use three Decking to connect three buildings appropriately, and make use of the empty space between two buildings, then the basic Pedestrian Circulation of 1st floor is con-firmed.
