Healthcare and Education ProfessionalsNEW! Whatever Works! Current Research on Alternative Strategies in the Treatment of ADHDParents and teachers are consistently hunting for “whatever works” to help children struggling with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Like most disorders, non-traditional suggestions for intervention are far from lacking, although good research on efficacy often is. In recent years, the desire to use medication is waning while popularity of treatment through diet, essential oils, and supplements has risen. In the school setting, unmedicated students create challenges for teachers and administrators, and mentoring programs and strategies are quickly gaining acclaim as effective evidence-practices in education and social service. This workshop examines current research on strategies for home and school, and seeks to inform participants on Whatever Works! Instructor: Dawn Broers.
