Very soon it will be that Magical Time of Year…
The 20th Annual Razzle Dazzle Celebration is only a few weeks away!
You will be seeing some very special Visitors this year along with Santa and his Elves. Look for Anna, Elsa, Kristoff and Olaf. We are excited to see Disney’s movie “Frozen 2” opening weekend showing at the Madelia Theater during Razzle Dazzle!
Festivities begin on Friday, November 22nd with Holiday Open Houses, Kids Holiday Passport game, Ugly Holiday Sweater Contest with discounts at participating business-es. Free Sleigh Rides with Santa, along with the Crystal Collection Reindeer Adventure. The Annual Baked Potato Buffet and the Boy Scouts serving; chili, grilled cheese and goodies. Enjoy our amazing “Parade of Lights” starting Friday at 6:30 p.m. near the Ele-mentary School continuing on Main Street (heated seating is available in the Madelia Elementary School cafeteria).
Saturday, November 23rd, get your holiday shopping started at the Madelia Elementary School, Women of Today’s “Holiday Expo and Luncheon”, Photo with The Big Guy in Red: Santa, cookie decorating, and more. Stop at Brushed Design Company’s Open House with some Make-n -Take stations (see page 7).
Continue on by shopping at our amazing Madelia Merchants for a chance to win $100 in Madelia Money! Shop local, play our Holiday Madelia Monopoly Game from Novem-ber 22nd to December 19th and you could win! Bonus for Shoppers: Shop Madelia on Small Business Saturday, November 30th and receive triple stamps for every purchase (that day only) on your Madelia Monopoly Game Card.
Later on Saturday: Come to the Watona Park with your family for some BeDAZZLED FUN! Dress Warm!! Roast some marshmallows; drink some Hot Cocoa with us as we kick off a NEW EVENT in Watona Park along with a Pasta Supper at the Madelia Golf Course. Yes, there is more! Sunday Fun Day, November 24th with Santa making pizza at Fox’s Pizza Den. See Disney’s movie “Frozen 2” at the Madelia Theater! Full details on pages 5-7.
The Madelia's Christmas for Children Program is under way. St. Mary's Catholic Church is the host congregation this year. If you would like to contribute directly, please make the check payable to the "Madelia Ministerial" and mail it to Salem Lutheran Church with the memo, "Christmas for Children." A Thanksgiving Eve Ecumenical Luncheon & Service will be hosted at Trinity Lutheran on November 27 from 11:15 to 12:45. This will be in place of the annual community Thanksgiving service. This furnished luncheon will also raise funds toward Christmas for Children.
