UPDATES’ 17

Within the boundaries of SCET, lies an entirely different world-youth,

overloaded with talent and infinite imagination awaiting an opportunity to

showcase their ideas and creativity to the world. To provide these innovative

minds with a platform and keep them as enthusiastic and motivated, the SCET

organized a State Level Tech-Fest- “KSHITIJ”. This has been transforming the

society with breakthroughs in technological research and development since last

14 years.

Faculty of Computer Engineering Department has around 650 students

who are always brimming with enthusiasm for participation in various types of

events. We have the goal of creating technical excellence which imparts the best

knowledge and skills to students with the objective of producing high calibre

engineering graduates. A practical application of theoretical work prepares the

students in wider area of computer engineering.

3 DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER ENGINEERING UPDATES’17

To exhibit the talents of students, UPDATES is being conducted every

year since 2002. This year UPDATES has been promoted to a State Level

Techfest under Kshitij-Anant Gyan ki Talash Mein. Various technical events

are being conducted and students get an opportunity to participate as well as

coordinate the events. This helps them to develop their inter-personal skills like

team work, leadership and technical skills to manage resources.

This year UPDATES'17 was a humongous success with a huge

participation of approx. 1400 participants from various disciplines of the

colleges from around Gujarat.

Updates’17, this year comprised of 12 events like Abhivyakti, Avishkar,

Abhishar, Quantum Coding, Poster Presentation, Conundrum, Idea Pitching,

3IDrive, Imitation Game, Scavenger Hunt, Counter Strike, Dalal Street that had

got the logical and creative impulses of young minds running. Students actively

participated in all the events in huge numbers with enthusiasm and fervour.

Schedule of UPDATES’17:
