Ex. Nuclear Pharmacy

As nuclear pharmacy is so different, I would recommend looking into shadowing before taking an APPE rotation in this area.A shadow experience would be a 2-to-4-hour site visit to get one on one time with a nuclear pharmacist and a "day in the life of" overview.Nuclear pharmacists typically start anywhere from 2 to 6 AM so shadowing would be scheduled sometime early AM.If you are interested in a shadow experience at one of XX’s nuclear pharmacies, please let me know and I will work with you to coordinate.

Shadow Email:On this email, please find X P2 student XX. XX is interested in learning more about consultant pharmacy and long- term care. Would you be able to set up time to speak with XX and possibly meet with her in person for her to shadow you one day at XX?

IPPE/APPE Rotations

• Be Strategic and Be Smart• Don’t select rotations at sites you work at (unless it’s with a

Manager/Director)• Rotate at hospitals with residency programs• Challenge Yourself• Ask Questions• Make sure key people know who you are (in a positive way!)

• STAND OUT• NETWORK
