A New Year Begins

La esperanza de alcanzar aquello que fue solo un sueño en el año que concluye pero el inicio de este periodo es también un momento para analizar nuestro propósito en el mundo, de ir y anunciar las buenas noticias (Evangelio) de la salvación.

Algunos han decidido dar este testimonio a través de la psi-cología, tal es el caso del Pastor Daniel Hernández que hoy presentamos, quien nos concedió una interesante entrevista acerca de cómo puede el cristianismo dialogar con la psico-logía, ciencia que para muchos propone una ética divorciada de los valores cristianos.

Asimismo, el articulo Las raíces judías del cristianismo de-fiende la presencia de las tradición hebrea en la teología cris-tiana de una manera que históricamente no ha sido aceptada por las iglesias cristianas, texto que reproducimos a fin de contribuir al dialogo sin olvidar lo que San Pablo alegara a la iglesia en Galacia: porque en Cristo Jesús ni la circuncisión vale algo, ni la incircuncision sino la fe que obra por el amor. (Gálatas 5:6)

Hoping to reach something that seemed only like a dream the year prior. The beginning of this period is also the time to analyze our purpose in the world, to go and announce the good news (Gospel) of salvation.

Some have chosen to give this testimony through psycho-logy, which is the case of Pastor Daniel Hernández which we present today, which gave us an interesting interview on how the christian religion can be combined with psy-chology, a science which most would find not to go hand in hand due to christian ethics.

Likewise, the article “The Jewish Roots of Christianity” defends the presence of the Jewish tradition in Christian theology in a way that historically has not been accep-ted by christian churches, a text reproduced in order to contribute to the dialogue without forgetting what St. Paul said to the church in Galatia: “Circumcision and uncircum-cision aren’t worth anything to those who believe in Christ Je-sus. The only thing that really counts is faith that shows itself through love.” (Galatians 5:6)

The Times of Love ministry along with other sections give a word of hope that this 2014 be a time of blessings to our readers.

Jesucristo les dijo: Id, mostraos a los sa-cerdotes y aconteció que mientras iban, fueron limpiados de esa lepra y los diez leprosos fueron limpios pero solamente uno regresó cuando se vio limpio a dar las gracias. (San Lucas 17: 11-19)

¿Donde están los otros nueve?

¿Por qué no regresaron a dar las gracias a Jesús y a postrarse a sus pies, como lo hizo ese uno?

Yo creo que fueron mal agradecidos: fue-ron limpiados y se olvidaron de Dios.

Hoy también existen muchos mal agrade-cidos: Dios los salva, los sana y los lim-pia. Ellos se olvidan y regresan al vómito como los perros. ¿Sera usted uno de esos nueve?

Dios te rescató cuando gritabas deses-peradamente; te restauró y limpió y no regresaste a dar las gracias a Jesús y a postrarte a sus pies para que fuese tu Se-ñor y tu Dios.

Te aconsejo que lo hagas ahora:

Dios está buscando corazones agradeci-dos para usarlos poderosamente en es-tos últimos tiempos.

Ora conmigo y dile a Jesús: Señor: doblo mis rodillas y me postro a tus pies, arre-pintiéndome de corazón y creyendo que eres mi Señor y mi Dios.

Amén, Amén y Amén

La Biblia, la Palabra de Dios, enseña que había diez leprosos que acudieron gritando a Jesucristo para ser limpiados de esa enfermedad.

The Bible, the Word of God teaches that there were ten lepers. They came screaming to Jesus Christ to be cleansed of the disease.

Jesus Christ answered: Go and show yourselves to the priests. As they went, they were cleansed from the leprosy and the ten lepers were cleansed but only one returned afterwards to say thanks. Luke 17: 11-19

Where are the other nine?

Why did they not return to thank Jesus and worship His feet, as did this one man?

I think they were ungrateful: they were cleansed and they forgot about God.

Today there are also many ungrateful people: God saves, heals and cleans.

They forget and return back to the vomit as dogs.

Will you be one of those nine?

God redeemed you when you shou-ted desperately, you were restored and cleaned and did not return to give thanks to Jesus and prostrate yourself to His feet to be your Lord and your God.

I advise you to do it now.

God is looking for grateful hearts to use mightily in these last times.

Pray with me and tell Jesus: Lord, I kneel and I prostrate myself at your feet, regret-ting everything wholeheartedly and belie-ving that you are my Lord and my God.

El Águila representa a la Reina de las Aves. Qui-zás sea este el motivo por el cual casi todas las potencias mundiales la han utilizado: proyectar una imagen que evoque respeto y refleje majes-tuosidad.

El águila ve lo que otras aves no ven: Desde una gran altura, el águila puede localizar su presa a kilómetros de distancia y se lanza en picada con certeza puntería, desplazándose a más de 200 kilómetros por hora, y a tal velocidad toma por sorpresa a su presa.

Ahora yo te digo que cuando el águila se enfoca en un animal, no le pierde la mira, ella sabe que tiene una misión y que ira directa hacia el.

Dios quiere prepararnos y adiestrarnos este año 2014. Miremos cuál es nuestra misión y llamado para, así, ir nosotros también de picada hacia ello y enfocarnos a trabajar sin desviarnos. Mantente firme al empezar, a pedirle a Dios que te prepare y te ayude.

Aunque haya batallas, luchas, guerras, todo lo podrás vencer y lograr con Dios, pero sin El nada podrás hacer. Cuando hablo de visión, pienso en la capacidad de ver más allá que la mayoría: acuérdate del águila.

Las personas que son como las águilas pueden ver lo que la mayoría se pierde. Los creyentes águilas no miran los problemas, ven las soluciones.

No tema en arriesgarse, en actualizar su visión, su visión tiene que ser mayor que los obstáculos, que los fracasos. En vez de rendirse dese una nue-va oportunidad.

Enfoca tu visión para ver aquello que es necesa-rio ver. Tu meta está definida por el alcance de tu visión.

Debes ser un buscador de oportunidades. Dios quiere darnos grandes cosas en este año, pero ve visualizando, enfócate bien, corre, date prisa, lánzate de picada, no te quedes quieto. La gente de mentalidad de gallina cacarea diciendo no po-demos, mientras que las águilas declaran porque más podremos nosotros que ellos.

The eagle represents the Queen of Birds. Per-haps this is the reason why almost all the world powers have used it, projecting an image that evokes respect and reflect majesty .

The Eagle see what other birds do not see: From a great height, the eagle can locate their prey from miles away and swoop a certain aim, moving at over 200 miles per hour, so quickly that they take by surprise the prey.

Now I tell you that when the eagle focuses on an animal, she does not lose the look, she knows she has a mission and direct anger towards it.

God wants to prepare and train ourselves this year 2014. Look what our mission is and what we are called for, so we also go with a certain aim into it and focus to work without turning off the vision.

When I say vision, I think the ability to see fur-ther than most: remember the eagle.

People who are like eagles can see what the majority cannot.

The eagles do not look the problems, they look at the solution.

Do not be afraid to take risks, to update your vision, your vision has to be greater than the obstacles, than your failures. Instead of giving up give yourself a chance.

Focus your vision to see what is needed to see. Your goal is defined by the scope of your vi-sion.

La gente de mentalidad de gallina se ven siempre pequeños, el águila se siente segura. La gallina come cualquier cosa, el águila busca su presa con vida, busca lo que está vivo, mientras otras aves, como por ejemplo el buitre, buscan lo muerto.

Declárate águila. El creyente tiene que aprender a esperar en el Señor, el desea restaurarte, sanarte y fortalecerte.

¡Esperar en el Señor es poderoso!

“(…...) Pero los que esperan en el Señor tendrán nuevas fuerzas; levantaran alas como las águilas, correrán, y no se cansaran; caminaran, y no se fa-tigaran” (Isaías 40:31)

Es maravilloso saber acerca de esta ave: el águila. Ella habita en la cumbre del peñasco y de la roca: desde allí acecha la presa, sus ojos observan des-de muy lejos.

Ponte en manos de Dios. No pierdas el tiempo, este es tu año, decláralo, confiésalo y empieza a vivirlo.

El creyente debe de renovar su relación con Dios siempre. El que sacia de bien tu boca de modo que te rejuvenezcas como el Águila. (Salmos 103:5)

The mentality of people saying we can not do it are like chickens, while eagles declare they can do it. The mentality of people are always smalllike a chicken, the eagle feels safe.

The chicken eats anything, the eagle seeks its prey alive, looking for what is alive, while other birds, such as vultures, look for the dead.

Declare yourself an eagle. The believer must learn to wait on the Lord, the restore you want to heal you and strengthen you.

Waiting on the Lord is powerful!

“ ( ......) But those who hope in the Lord will re-new their strength and will rise up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint” ( Isaiah 40:31)

It is wonderful to know about this bird: the ea-gle. She lives in between the rocks: from there she seeks the prey, with eyes observing from afar.

Put yourself in God’s hands. Do not waste time, this is your year, declare it, confess it and start living it!

The believer must renew their relationship with God forever. Who satisfies your mouth with good so that is renewed like the eagle. (Psalm 103:5)

La psicología es una ciencia joven, aunque viene siendo objeto de estudio como disciplina filosófi-ca desde hace cientos de años, cuando ya en la antigua Grecia, Sócrates hizo énfasis en la nece-sidad que tiene el hombre de explorar su intimi-dad: “Conócete a ti mismo”.

Asimismo, en los comienzos del cristianismo, San Agustín decía: No te vayas fuera, vuelve a ti mismo.

En el ser interior del cristiano habita la verdad. Sin embargo, la psicología contemporánea muchas veces es percibida como una amenaza para los valores y la doctrina cristiana.

Almavision acudió a dialogar con el Pastor Daniel Hernandez, decano de DOXA Internatio-nal Univesity, Master en Psicología y con un doctorado en consejería cristiana.

¿Por qué decidió estudiar psicología? ¿Era cris-tiano antes de dedicarse a esta carrera? ¿Hubo alguna motivación en su vida que lo llevara a es-tudiar esta profesión?

Antes de entrar a la facultad de psicología, ya era cristiano. Me formé en la escuela dominical pero crecí en un hogar disfuncional. Mi padre era adic-to al alcohol y al sexo. Gracias a Dios tuve una madre que se refugió en el Señor y El la ayudo a enfrentar su situación de codependencia . Estoy seguro que eso salvo la vida de mis hermanos y la mía. Y me sensibilizó para aquellos que sufren.

Ya estaba buscando conocimiento en el área del crecimiento personal, para ayudarme a mí mismo. Me casé muy joven. Tuve mi primer hijo a los 19 años. Pero empecé a hacer lo mismo que mi pa-dre. Empecé a salir con mujeres, estando casado. Recuerdo que a los 29 años volví a los cami-nos del Señor, me reconcilié con El y me ha restaurado.

Psychology is a young science, but is being studied as a philosophical discipline from hun-dreds of years ago, when in ancient Greek, So-crates emphasized the need for man to explo-re their intimacy: “Know thyself”.

Also, in early Christianity, St. Augustine said: Do not go out, return to yourself.

Inside the Christian lives the truth. However, contemporary psychology is often perceived as a threat to Christian values and doctrine.

Almavision went to talk with Pastor Daniel Hernandez, dean of DOXA International Univesity, Master in Psychology and a doc-torate in Christian counseling.

Why did he decide to study psychology? Was he a Christian before pursuing this career? Was the-re any motivation in his life to take him to study this profession?

Before joining the faculty of psychology, I was a Christian. I was trained in Sunday school, but I grew up in a dysfunctional home. My father was addicted to alcohol and sex. Thank God I had a mother who took refuge in the Lord and He helped them cope codependency. I ‘m sure that saved the lives of my brothers and mine. And I raised awareness for those who suffer.

I was already looking for knowledge in the area of personal growth , to help myself. I married very young. I had my first child at 19. But I star-ted doing the same as my father. I started da-ting other women, being married .

I remember at age 29 I returned to the ways of the Lord, I reconciled with Him and He restored me.

I have managed to succeed not only academi-cally, but also spiritually destroying the works

He logrado triunfar no solo en lo académico, sino también en lo espiritual para deshacer las obras de Satanás en mi y en otras personas. En mi for-mación vocacional influyó el Doctor Osvaldo Ma-rino, pionero en los estudios de psicología cristia-na en el mundo hispano y fundador de DOXA International University, en donde soy decano.

¿Cómo respondió a los que piensan que la psico-logía ofrece teorías sobre el ser humano que se oponen a lo que enseña la Biblia?

No es de sabios rechazar el conocimiento acadé-mico y científico que puede ayudar a aquellos que sufren. Ahora bien, el diablo tiene psicólogos que no creen en Jesús. Es hora que los pastores nos especialicemos en estudiar la conducta humana, tenemos que profesionalizar nuestro llamado.

¿Cómo vamos a estudiar el comportamiento hu-mano?

San Pablo dijo: “Escudriñadlo todo, retened lo bue-no”. Debemos buscar conocimiento porque si no perecemos. Es importante que la iglesia escudri-ñe la parábola de los talentos porque Dios da ta-lentos conforme a nuestra capacidad. Entonces es nuestra la responsabilidad de capacitarnos. Los profesionales de la salud mental cristianos hemos entendido que la Palabra de Dios es nues-tra guía, es infalible. “Lámpara es a mis pies tu Palabra y lumbrera en mi camino”, el conocimien-to académico o científico nunca va a sustituir el de Dios.

En mi clase de psicología una vez un alumno me dijo : “esto es lo más grande que yo he escucha-do”, le conteste “le estas dando un valor que no le corresponde”.

En la iglesia hoy en dia hay personas que están sufriendo, Y yo me pregunto: Señor: ¿qué pasó? ¿Se hizo vana tu palabra? No!. La palabra de Dios es perfecta, lo que pasa con esas persona es que estan llenas de rechazo, raíces de amargura, traumas etc. que dañaron su psiquis. Jesús le dijo a Lázaro: “sal fuera,” pero salió atado. Entonces Jesús le dijo a sus discípulos: “desatad-le”, (Jn 11: 44 ). Es la misma orden, que hoy Jesús nos da a cada uno de nosotros: “desatad”, a los que han sido salvados de la muerte y que todavia están atados con lienzos de muerte.

Dios nos dio talentos para que sean usados en beneficios de otros. La Biblia dice: “por sus frutos los conoceréis”. He visto el fruto de este trabajo cristalizado en matrimonios y familias que se han salvado de la destrucción.

How do you respond to those who think that psy-chology provides theories about humans who oppose the teaching of the Bible?

It is not wise to reject the academic and scien-tific to those suffering from lack of knowledge. Now, the devil has psychologists who do not believe in Jesus. It’s time that pastors specia-lize in studying human behavior, we need to professionalize our call.

How are we to study human behavior ?

St. Paul said Prove all things, hold fast what is good. We must seek knowledge because otherwise we will perish. It is important that the church scrutinize the parable of the talents that God gives talents according to our ability. So it is our responsibility to train ourselves for them.

Christian professionals in the mental health have understood that God’s Word is our fool-proof guide. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my way” academic or scientific knowledge will never replace God.

In my psychology class a student once told me: “This is the greatest thing I’ve ever heard!,” I replied, “You are giving this a value that does not belong to it.”

In the church today there are people who are suffering, and I ask: Lord, what happened? Did your word become vain? No. The word of God is perfect, what happens to that person is that he is full of rejection, roots of bitterness, trauma etc. . which in result damages his psyche.

La palabra Psico viene del griego (psykhé): alma, y (logía): estudio; o sea la psicología es el estudio del alma. Entonces:

¿Quienes son lo que por legitimo derecho son llamados a estudiar el Alma?

Nosotros, los hijos de aquel que la creo. Es por eso que no dejo de insistir a la Iglesia: “capacíten-se, todo lo bueno viene de Dios”.

The word comes from the Greek Psycho (psy-che): soul and (ology): study, that means that psychology is the study of the soul.

So who are the most called to study the soul rather than the children of He who created us?

Nuestro objetivo inicial es mostrar que en el Nuevo Testa-mento existe un elevado porcentaje de referencias del An-tiguo Testamento. El Pentateuco, los cinco primeros libros de la Biblia escritos por Moisés; como así mismo de los libros poéticos: Ester, Ruth, Proverbios, los Salmos, Ecle-siastés, Cantares; y de los libros de los Profetas.

Esto lo hacemos para:

1: Poder encontrar el fundamento del Nuevo Testamento.2: Darnos cuenta que, si bien el Nuevo Testamento es Pa-labra Inspirada de Dios, no lo es separado del Antiguo Testamento.3: Que el Nuevo Testamento cumple y completa al Antiguo Testamento.4: Que la Torah es el fundamento tanto del Antiguo Testa-mento como del Nuevo Testamento.5: Que si bien Yeshua aparece en el Nuevo Testamento, se ve y fue anunciado desde la Torah.

…LAS RAICES JUDIAS DEL CRISTIANISMO

Muchas personas hoy en día creen que judaísmo y cristia-nismo son dos religiones que no tienen nada en común. Sin embargo, no fue así en el principio. El cristianismo tiene fuertes raíces en el judaísmo. En el siglo I la gran mayoría de los judíos esperaban al Mesías prometido por los Pro-fetas, desde Moisés hasta Malaquías. Citamos solamente algunos textos de ellos: Deuteronomio 18: 15 al 18; Isaías 7: 14; Isaías Cap. 53; Miqueas 5:8; Daniel 9:24 al 27.

Si analizamos objetivamente el Nuevo Testamento, y la his-toria de aquel tiempo, vamos a encontrar que en los prime-ros años del movimiento llamado posteriormente cristianis-mo, no fue otra cosa que la continuación del judaísmo, por aquellos judíos que creyeron que Yeshúa era el Mesías. Incluso los nombres que se les dio inicialmente fueron nombre hebreos; Ha Derej (Los del Camino); Notzrim (Na-zarenos) Yehudím Meshijím (Judíos Mesiánicos) .

Many people today believe that Judaism and Christianity are two religions that have nothing in common. However, it was not so in the beginning. Christianity has strong roots in Judaism. In the first century the vast majority of the Jews expected the Messiah promised by the pro-phets, from Moses to Malachi. We cite only a few texts from them: Deuteronomy 18: 15 to 18, Isaiah 7:14, Isaiah Ch.53, Micah 5:8, Daniel 9:24 to 27 .

If we analyze objectively the New Testament, and the history of that time, we will find that in the early years of the movement later called Christianity, it was nothing more than the continuation of Judaism, for those Jews who believed that Yeshua was the Messiah. Even the names they gave were initially Hebrew names: Ha De-rech (All the Way); Notzrim (Nazarenes) Yehudim Meshi-jím (Messianic Jews).

They kept using the Tallit (prayer shawl) that the same Yeshua used: Matthew 9:20 and 21, celebrating the Sa-bbath and Biblical Festivals, reading the Scriptures, which was the Torah and the Old Testament, since the New Testament was being written at the time, and was not part of the Scriptures, etc.

Cuando el Emperador Constantino de Roma declaró al cristianismo la religión oficial del Imperio y la Iglesia Católica Romana la iglesia oficial, fue el tiempo de la gran división. Es cierto que en la segunda mitad del siglo II ya comenzó a haber una separación entre judíos y gentiles, pero el año 325 DC marcó esa división. El primer concilio de esa naciente Iglesia en ese año, el Concilio de Nicea, cuyos primeros dogmas fueron: los judíos mataron a Jesús y hay que destruirlos; hay que quitar todo lo judío de esta iglesia. A partir de allí, esa división es marcada por la no continuidad de lo que hasta ese tiempo se seguían practicando.

The Great Divide

When Roman Emperor Constantine declared Christianity the official religion of the Empire and the Roman Catholic Church the official church, it was the time of great division. It is true that in the second half of the second century there began to be a separation between Jews and Gentiles, but the year 325 AD marked the division. The first council of the early Church in that year, the Council of Nicea, whose first dogmas were the Jews killed Jesus and must be des-troyed, we must remove all of the Jewish church. (Bethlehem), who grew up in Natzeret (Nazareth), who conducted his minis-try among Jews in Galil (Galilee), and who died and rose from the grave in Yerushalayim (Jerusalem), the Jewish capital (all in Eretz Israel, the land God gave to the Jewish people). Indeed, Yeshua is still a Jew, as is still alive and nowhere in Scripture is said or suggested that ceased to be Jewish. The twelve that followed more closely for years were Jews and all their talmidim (disciples) were Jews, among which “there were hundreds of thousands” only in Yerushalayim. (Acts 21:20.)

The New Testament was written entirely by Jews (and most likely is that Lucas was a proselyte to Judaism) and his message was directed “to the Jew espe-cially, but equally to gentle too.” Romans 1:16. They were Jews who brought the Gospel to those who were not, and not vice versa. Shaul (Paul), the chief emissary to the Gentiles was throughout his life an observant Jew, as the evidence clearly shows (Acts 16:3, 17:2, 18:18; 20:16; 21:23 27, 25:8; 28:17.”} the vicarious atonement of Christ is rooted in the Jewish sacrificial system (Leviticus 17:11 Hebrews 9:22) the Lord’s Supper is rooted in the Passover and immersion (baptism) is a Jewish practice Yeshua said ...”Salvation is from the Jews” Yochanan (John) 4:22 the same New Covenant was prom sed by the prophet Jeremiah, who was Jewish (Jeremiah 31: 31 to 34).

The concept of a Messiah is an exclusively Jewish concept. In fact, the whole New Testament complete the Tanakh, the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament) that God gave the Jewish people, so the New Testament without the Old is “as impossible as the second floor of a house without the first floor, and without the New Old is like a house without finish building without a roof.”

Shaul (Pablo), el principal emisario a los gentiles fue durante toda su vida un judío observante, tal y como muestra claramente la evidencia (Hechos 16:3; 17:2; 18:18; 20:16; 21:23 al 27; 25:8; 28:17}. La expiación vicaria del Mesías tiene sus raíces en el sistema de los sacrificios judíos. (Levítico 17:11 Hebreos 9:22.) Aquí está algunas de las metas que debe-mos tener para este 2014

1: Ser un buen servidor de Cristo y de la iglesia del Señor.

2: Volver la mirada al interior de la familia. Fortalezca-mos la relación en el matrimonio y con los hijos.

3: Ser un gran empresario.

Empezar. No dejar para mañana lo que puedo hacer hoy.

Este será un año que pasara muy rápido, por esa razón tendremos que acelerar nuestras obras guiados por el Espíritu Santo. Por eso hay que buscar su presencia en todo tiempo y con mucho fervor, para hacer movimientos certeros que el mismo Espíritu pondrá en nuestro cora-zón.

Comenzar con planes cortos, medianos, y largo plazo.

Proyecto de vida. Es la dirección que el hombre se marca en su vida. Aquí es donde se plasman metas. Es donde se plantea las ventajas, y desventajas.

Between the first two (and the subdivisions) it offers amenities and accessories such as automatic headlights, roof rails storage, a trip computer, service OnStar roadside assistance, fog lights, heated mirrors, climate control for three zones, heated front seats and the MyLink infotainment interface which has voice com-mands, Bluetooth audio connectivity and other techno-logical gadgets.

If your wallet is feeling mean, give it all you’ve got and take home the LTZ: 20-inch wheels, system monitoring the blind spots, electrical mirrors, leather seats, me-mory functions for the driver, front ventilated seats, heated steering wheel and several more ‘gems’ come with it-as well as some that are optional, among which there is a navigation system, 10-speaker Bose system, DVD system, and even an electrical contact to install a game console.

We go to a less friendly-but-predictable theme. The Traverse is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that un-leashes 281 horsepower and offers 266 lb.-ft. of tor-que. The LTZ has the peculiarity that unleashes 288 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque, because it ca-rries a set of twin tailpipes.

Durante la década pasada, la Uplander y la TrailBlazer de Chevrolet predominaron en los garages de las familias norteamericanas amplias. Ahora, la sucesora de ambas, la Chevrolet Traverse, busca hacer exactamente lo mis-mo, ser una crossover SUV de tamaño completo con arrai-go entre los hogares de los Estados Unidos.

A la primera Traverse la conocimos hace ya cinco años, en el Chicago Auto Show de 2008.

Ahora, luego de este lustro, Chevrolet nos presenta la 2014 Traverse, que si bien presenta escasos cambios con respecto al año-modelo anterior, es un vehículo utili-tario integral y práctico. Vamos viendo.

Al principio mencionamos que esta belleza es un SUV de tamaño completo y no es para menos: tiene capacidad hasta para ocho pasajeros (no se librará de la suegra y su perico, ni modo).

Se ofrece en tres versiones: LS, LT y LTZ; y el LT, a su vez, se divide en 1LT y 2LT. El que nos hicieron el favor de prestarnos para este review fue el LTZ, la versión más equipada de todas.

Entre las primeras dos (y las subdivisiones) ofrece ameni-dades y accesorios como: faros automáticos, rieles en el techo para equipaje, una computadora de viaje, servicio de asistencia en el camino OnStar, luces para niebla, es-pejos térmicos, control de clima para tres zonas, asien-tos frontales térmicos y la interfase de infoentretenimiento MyLink -con comandos de voz, conectividad de audio Bluetooth y otros artilugios tecnológicos-.

Si su cartera anda brava, déle pa’ adelante y lleve a casa la LTZ: rines de 20 pulgadas, sistema de monitoreo de puntos ciegos, espejos eléctricos, asientos de piel, fun-ciones de memoria para el conductor, asientos frontales ventilados, volante térmico y varias ‘joyitas’ más vienen con ella -como algunas opcionales entre las que desta-can un sistema de navegación, un sistema de 10 bocinas Bose, un sistema de DVDs y hasta un contacto eléctrico para instalar una consola de videojuegos-.

It only comes with a six-speed automatic transmis-sion, but can be acquired with front or in all the tires.

We said we were going to the not so nice ... it only gets 17 mpg in the city and 24 on the highway, the performance lowers a mile in each if you opt for the four-wheel drive. This fuel efficiency is not anything special, in fact it is similar to other crossovers - but either way, we must be aware that this vehicle does less is save gasoline.

Another Achilles heel: the interior is, as the kids to-day say, ‘meh...’. If one addresses a Traverse, one wants to feel as if you were in a luxury vehicle, but the material that has been used does not help.

Also, while its handling is smooth, precise and comfortable, it is ‘tiresome’ when accelerating.

Antilock brakes, traction and stability control, rearview camera, side airbags in front, side cur-tain airbags for all three rows of seats, the system OnStar roadside assistance, parking sensors, blind spot system in the LTZ- are just some of the safety arrangements in the 2014 Chevrolet Traverse.

También, mientras que su manejo es suave, preciso y cómodo, resulta ‘cansona’ a la hora de acelerar.

Though they are already aware of this car in South Ko-rea as of 2009, the Kia Cadenza reaches the United Sta-tes as a small and precious gem, in it’s 2014 model.

For several years, the Kia Oppirus -sometimes also known as Amanti- was “The Workhorse” of this company, but fo-lks, there is always a time for renewal.

The Candenza arrived at its production lines as the repla-cement of the Opirus, and while this defends a new level of decency, the new guy in town is simply spectacular.

This vehicle is one of full sized luxury. It has presence, class and elegance.If you thought you would never glance twice at a Kia, the Candenza will change your opinion... and wait until you see its interior.

But anyways, lets take it step by step.

Practically it offers a single version, which is Premium, but it brings a series of extras distributed in certain packages that you will love.

From its factory settings, it includes: 18-inch alloy rims, automatic headlights, automatic fog lights, automatic wind-shield wipers, climate control of two zones, leather seats with heaters, electric mirrors, keyless entry, push to start, and one very wide etcetera.

This wide etcetera covers, including other aspects, an 8-inch touchscreen, voice-command system called Kia Uvo, navigation system, bluetooth connectivity for tele-phone and audio, Infinity sound system of 12 speakers with CD capability, satellite radio and USB ports, iPod and auxiliary cable.

Pero en fin, vamos por partes.

Prácticamente se ofrece en una sola versión, que es la Premium, pero trae una serie de Aditivos distribuídos en algunos paquetes que sé que le van a encantar.

De fábrica, incluye: rines de alloy de 18 pulgadas, faros automáticos, faros para niebla, limpiabrisas sensibles a la lluvia, espejos retrovisores laterales eléctricos, acce-so y encendido sin llave, control climático de dos zonas, asientos de cuero, asientos térmicos y un amplísimo et-cétera.

Do you want more? Well there is!.. panoramic sunroof, 19-inch rims, windshield defroster, thermal wheel, white leathered-seats, wood accessories and much more distributed in three different packages (nobody said that the beautiful had to be cheap). Speaking of “cheap”, “car”, and many other big words that may hurt your ears, of course that this beauty so big is not so big on saving.

Let’s say how it is: its V6 motor does not have a heart for the streets. With a capacity of 3,3 liters and a hor-sepower of 293 and 255 pounds of feet of torque, with a powerful and firm frontal traction, that moves due to an automatic box of six different velocities, its gas saving performance goes to 19 miles per gallon in the city and 28 miles per gallon on the highway.

Here is where some will miss that there is a more economic option, (maybe a smaller V4 engine?), but all in all this is the price of beauty and impact. It de-pends on you if you are willing to purchase it or find another option.

Its suspension is very resistant, it absorbs in a just man-ners the holes that may be in the street, and if you take it out of the pavement, it will move as swift as butter.

While the security accessories are viewed at this altitu-de of simply something seen on a daily basis, -such as anti-block breaks, traction control and stability, frontal and back airbags, curtain-like airbags and assistance on hills-.

Ministry Times of Love / Tiempos de Amores

El Ministerio Tiempos de Amores con capellanes de diferentes iglesias y el líder Emiliano Lamothe, partió el 29 y 30 de noviembre de 8:00 am a 8:00 pm para la prisión de South Bay, donde se ministró con podero-sa palabra de fe que rompió muros y libertó cautivos, donde se salvaron doce presos y se les llevó arroz congrí, yuca, pollos asado, sándwiches y sodas.

Esos dos días fuimos con un van lleno de capellanes de diferentes iglesias: hombres y mujeres con pasión y amor, como la pastora Aida Fuentes y el pastor de Homestead, Enrique, con el propósito de exaltar a Cristo.

Gracias a Dios le damos, a nuestro Cris-to y a su Santo Espíritu, por todo el año 2013, por la cosecha de almas tan gran-de.

Fue un año de grandes retos en el ministerio, donde lo extendimos a prisiones de Ocala, Jackson y Liberty Correccional. También el ministerio consiguió llegar a diferentes prisiones como la de niños de 13 a 17 años de edad, Okechobee, Morehaven, Everglades, de Soto y la prisión de Homestead, además de las que ya visitábamos antes: Metro West, Mayo, Hamilton, Hardee, Century y la prisión de ancianos en el Doral.

Para la gloria de Dios que ha estado siempre con no-sotros, abriendo puertas y proveyendo, también a mu-chas de estas prisiones pudimos llevar alimento espi-ritual y comida, libros y revistas cristianas, donaciones como un microwave y cafetería comercial, pues la fe sin obras es muerta.

Ministerio Tiempos de AmoresThe Times of Love Ministry along with the leader Emi-liano Lamothe, departed from the 29 to 30th of No-vember from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm to the South Bay prison where they ministered with a powerful word of faith which broke walls and freed captives, whe-re twelve prisoners were saved. The ministry took them congri rice, cassava, roasted chicken, sandwi-ches and sodas.

Those two days they went with a van full of cha-plains of different churches, men and women with passion and love, as the pastor and his wife from Ho-mestead, Henry and Aida Fuentes, for the purpose of praising Jesus.

Thank God we give to our Christ and his Holy Spirit, throughout the year 2013, for the harvest of souls that was so great.

It was a challenging year in ministry, where it was extended to the prisons in Ocala, Jackson and Liberty Correctionals. The Ministry also made it to various prisons such as the one with children 13 to 17 years old, Okeechobee, Morehaven, Everglades, de Soto and the Homestead correctional, in addition to the ones previously visited: Metro West, Mayo, Hamilton, Har-dee, Century, and the senior correctional in Doral.

To the glory of God He has always been with us, opening doors and providing, to many of these pri-sons we could bring spiritual food and board, books and Christian magazines, donations such as mi-crowaves, commercial coffee machines, since faith without actions is dead.

Gracias les damos a todos los capellanes voluntarios que participan en este minis-terio y que también contribuyeron con fi-nanzas. 8 Secretos Para Una Vida Saludable Y Abundante

1). 2). La luz del Sol: Al menos sería ideal tener una exposición diaria durante 30 minutos, pues los rayos solares destruyen numerosos gérmenes y eso nos ayuda a conservar la salud. Por otra parte, es una de las fuentes de obtención de vita-mina D a través de la piel por inducción de los rayos ultra-violeta. La otra fuente de vitamina D es a través de la dieta.

La exposición al Sol también se utiliza con fines terapéu-ticos, medicinales, en el tratamiento de enfermedades de la piel como psoriasis, vitíligo y algunos cánceres de piel.

3). El agua: La importancia del agua es tal que el hombre puede vivir varias semanas sin comer pero solo unos días sin tomar agua. El agua constituye más del 70% del peso total del cuerpo, unos 50 litros en el hombre y 40 litros en la mujer. El agua, además, es útil para el aseo y el baño. Se recomienda tomarse a diario la mitad de su peso en onzas de agua.

4). El descanso: El sueño adecuado aclara sus ojos, les devuelve su brillo natural y borra las ojeras y reconforta las energías para el día siguiente.

5). Ejercicio físico: El ejercicio embellece la complexión fí-sica y ayuda a cumplir con nuestras prescripciones para la belleza. Cuando se hace ejercicio, su respiración se profun-diza y su postura se corrige automáticamente y se facilita el sueño reparador.

6). La dieta apropiada: Aquí es donde yo juego un papel importante pues la obesidad es un mal de adultos, niños y ancianos que afecta severamente la salud. ion Many times we have heard exclamations like these “what

a bad attitude!” “that person is always negative!” “why can’t they be happy for me?” Or possibly you have wondered “why is it that I do what I do?” “Why do I behave this way?” “Where do my problems come from?” and in often times one does not manage to understand why the heart feels bitterness, hatred, resentment, envy, selfishness, fear, hypocrisy etc. and why you don’t manage to be really ha-ppy.

Over the next three editions, we will discover the reason for the problems in our lives, and what are the causes of those roots in our hearts. We will discover that every “problem” has a “root” and what we must do to cut them and plant new roots in our lives.

It’s amazing how many parents, from the womb, have re-jected their children, not realizing that before birth they were already giving the child the root of “rejection” or how many parents tell their children from when they’re young and throughout their life phrases such as “you’re useless”, “you will never be anything in life”, “I do not know why I had you!” without understanding that from young age they are already forming roots of all different types in their life?

When you have been rejected or have lived in a dys-functional family, or have been people who have suffe-red lack of love from the people who are important to you, you’re letting the roots of resentment, hatred, an-ger, grow inside your heart, often without realizing that those roots are those that do not let you achieve what you want in your life.

If we seek to understand our way, we will know the roots of our problems but sadly, often making it difficult that pro-cess is the pain of not wanting to be recognized. Often we do not want to give our budge and admit that something is wrong with us, it is easier and even somewhat “con-venient” to blame others for our failures and want to find some reason (anywhere available) to justify our problems and events.

The heart is our soul and when we are good about our-selves emotionally, that will automatically reflect, but on the contrary, if we are frustrated, bitter and unhappy

Muchas veces hemos escuchado exclamaciones como és-tas “que mal carácter tiene!” “siempre vive amargado!” “por qué no puede alegrarse de mis logros?” o, posiblemente, te has preguntado “por qué hago lo que hago?” “por qué me comporto de ésta forma?” “de donde vienen mis problemas?” y muchas veces no logras entender porqué tu corazón siente amargura, odio, resentimiento, envidia, egoísmo, miedo, hi-pocresía etc. y porqué no logras ser realmente feliz.

A lo largo de 3 ediciones, iremos descubriendo el por qué de los problemas en nuestra vida, cuales son las causas y del por qué de ésas raíces en nuestro corazón. Descubriremos que cada “problema” tiene una “raíz” y que debemos hacer para cortarlas y sembrar raíces nuevas en nuestras vidas.

Es increíble como muchos padres, desde el vientre, han re-chazado a sus hijos, sin darse cuenta que desde antes de nacer ya están marcando de por vida a su hijo con la raíz del “rechazo” o ¿Cuántos padres dicen a sus hijos desde peque-ños y durante toda su vida frases como éstas: “No sirves para nada!”, “nunca vas a lograr ser alguien en la vida!”, “no sé porqué te tuve!” sin entender que desde pequeños ya están formando raíces de todo tipo en sus vidas?

Cuando tú has sido rechazado o has vivido en un seno fami-liar disfuncional, o has sido de las personas que has sufrido falta de amor por parte de las personas que son importantes para ti, vas dejando que las raíces de resentimiento, de odio, de ira, vayan creciendo dentro de tu corazón, sin darte cuen-ta muchas veces que ésas raíces son las que no te dejan lograr lo que deseas en tu vida.

Si buscamos entender nuestro camino, lograremos conocer las raíces de nuestros problemas pero tristemente, muchas veces lo que dificulta ese proceso, es el dolor de no querer reconocerlas. Muchas veces no queremos dar nuestro bra-zo a torcer y admitir que algo está mal en nosotros, es más fácil y hasta “conveniente” culpar a los demás por nuestros fracasos y querer encontrar alguna razón (donde no la hay) para justificar nuestros problemas y actos.

El corazón es nuestra alma y cuando estamos bien con noso-tros mismos emocionalmente, eso automáticamente vamos a reflejar pero por el contrario, si nos sentimos frustrados, amargados e infelices en nuestra vida, aunque queramos

Todo Problema Tiene Una Raíz (I Parte)

There is a very true saying that “the mouth speaks out of the abundance of the heart” and if in your heart there are only bad and sad things, believe it or not, that automa-tically will come out of your mouth.

What should we do to get rid of roots that keep us from being happy and achieve what we want to achieve?

The first thing to understand is that we have to be ho-nest with ourselves and do a “self-evaluation”, how our heart is right now, identify what are the roots that keep you from achieving your goals and objectives.

Remember that a tree (in this case, you) can not bear good fruit (achieve your goals and objectives) if it does not have a good root! A healthy base!

Detecting bad roots in your heart: Take a sheet of pa-per, divide it into 6 equal parts, and each of the parts will write what the bad roots in your life and then at the bottom, write which has been the fruit of that root.

disimular que estamos bien, ten por seguro que tu mirada y lo que salga de tu boca, reflejará como se encuentra real-mente tu corazón. Hay un dicho muy cierto que dice “de la abundancia del corazón habla la boca” y si en tu corazón solo existen raíces malas y tristes, aunque no lo creas, auto-máticamente eso saldrá de tu boca.

¿Qué debemos hacer para sacar raíces que nos impiden ser felices y así lograr lo que deseamos alcanzar?

Lo primero que debemos comprender es que tenemos que ser honestos con nosotros mismos y hacer un “autoevalua-ción”, cómo se encuentra nuestro corazón en estos momen-tos, detectar cuáles son las raíces que nos impiden lograr nuestros objetivos y metas.

Recuerda que un árbol (que en este caso eres tú) no podrá dar buen fruto (alcanzar tus metas y objetivos) si no tiene una buena raíz! ¡Una base sana!

Detectando las raíces malas en nuestro corazón: Toma una hoja de papel en blanco, divídela en 6 partes iguales, y en cada una de las partes escribirás cuales son las raíces ma-las en tu vida y luego en la parte de abajo, escribirás cual ha sido el fruto de esa raíz.

Por ejemplo, si una de tus raíces es la envidia, deberás

escribir en letra grande “ENVIDIA” y debajo de ella escribirás cuales han sido los frutos de ser una persona envidiosa, por ejemplo: uno de los frutos podría ser “infelicidad”, “no alcanzar el éxito y logros personales”, “chismes” “rencor”, “complejo de infe-rioridad”, “baja autoestima”, etc. y así sucesivamente, con cada raíz que vayas encontrando en tu corazón.

Es importante que seas sincero y honesto contigo mismo: ¿será fácil hacer este ejercicio? ¡Claro que no lo será! Ya que en cada raíz que vayas encontrando vendrán recuerdos tristes y dolorosos a tu mente y volverás a vivir esos momentos tan difíciles que han marcado tu vida pero es esencial que lo hagas. Por-que si lo haces, estarás no solamente encontrando la causa o las causas del porqué actúas como actúas y el porqué dices lo que dices, y la “raíz” de tus proble-mas. Automáticamente estarás “auto-liberándote”.

Debes tomarte el tiempo necesario para encontrar cada raíz y hacerlo en un momento donde te encuen-tres a solas y en tranquilidad. Así tendrás la oportuni-dad de encontrarte contigo mismo, de abrir comple-tamente tu corazón, pero recuerda: DEBES SER SINCERO Y HONESTO, de lo contrario, de nada servirá que hagas este ejercicio.

Recuerda: Fuiste llamado y escogido no para ser “medianamente” feliz, sino completamente feliz pero depende de ti lograrlo y que quieras realmente hacer esa decisión. Pregúntate: “En dónde quieres estar de hoy en adelante? Con una “media vida” o “viviendo completamente como debes vivir?”. Respóndete tú mismo desde lo más profundo de tu corazón. Así que empieza desde ya a descubrir tus raíces! ¡Comienza a caminar el camino de tu felicidad!

La Tormenta: “Levantarán Alas Como Las Águilas”


“THE STORM” Lift your wings up like eagles

El águila tiene conciencia de la grandeza de sus alas y sabe la acción que debe tomar para enfren-tar las enormes nubes grises. Ella, por su visión bi-nocular y por instinto, percibe la tormenta mucho antes que comience.

Pone en acción el principio de su preparación, vo-lando hasta la cima de un monte. Los montes son símbolos de permanencia. Ahí se queda obligada a ESPERAR en silencio los fuertes vientos.

Ella sabe cuándo extender las alas y cuándo ce-rrarlas, ya que están diseñadas de una forma ade-cuada para disminuir o eliminar la resistencia de aire sobre las alas. Veamos cómo actúa.

Primero elige rendir su voluntad a éste gran fenó-meno. Prefiere no volar. Sabiamente entiende que la “espera” es la clave para su victoria. Cuando la tormenta llega, el águila se deja llevar por la misma y confronta los fuertes y oscuros vientos de frente y completamente extiende sus inmensas alas.

Permite entera y continuamente ser per-seguida por la gran oscuridad, por la llu-via y la fuerza del tempestuoso viento.

The eagle is aware of the greatness of their wings and know what action to take to address the huge gray clouds. She, on the binocular vision and instinctively perceives the storm much earlier than when it arrives.

Como podemos ver que la resistencia es una tarea inútil; te aconsejo que no te enfoques en ella. Ahora observa la forma en que Jesucristo lo dijo: “Ponte de acuerdo con tu adversario pronto”. (Mateo.5:25). Esto nos dice que el “acordar” con aquello que se opone, nos provee una salida de la dura situación.

Por medio de las “tormentas”, se distingue la persona que está rendida a la voluntad de Dios y la que resiste someterse a sus mandamientos. Jesucristo cruzó por varias de ellas.

Cuando Él sabía que los vientos de la tormenta de la oscuridad estaban por llegar, se fue al Getsemaní, al huerto ubicado al pie del Monte de los Olivos.

Este fue el escenario donde esperó y oró al Padre diciendo: “Padre mío, si es posible, pase de mí ésta copa; pero no sea como Yo quiero, sino como Tú”. (Ma-teo. 26:39) También Cristo se rindió a la gran tormenta de su sufrimiento por la humanidad.

2. Delega cuantas tareas puedas. Si estás en una posición que te lo permite, confía en tus empleados y encárgales res-ponsabilidades.

3. Controla el teléfono. Si has de realizar varias llamadas, trata de agruparlas todas juntas y así evitarás perder tiempo de más.

4. Programa tiempo para pensar. Muchas veces por tratar de terminar más rápido, no tomamos el tiempo necesario para analizar y hasta reflexionar sobre las actividades que estamos realizando.

El hombre es un creador porque pertenece a la espe-cie divina. El hombre está hecho a la imagen de Dios y conforme a su semejanza, así que el hombre es del género de Dios (Gn 3:15).

Aunque el hombre ha creado muchas obras de arte, llenas de habilidad, perfección y genialidad, ninguno puede darle a su obra aliento de vida.

El hombre puede pintar o esculpir, digamos, un cierto animal cualquiera y puede reproducir todos sus deta-lles con maestría; cada tono de color, cada efecto de luz, con tal sabiduría que llegamos a exclamar: ¡Hasta parece que tiene vida!

The man is a creator because it belongs to the divine species. Man is made in the image of God and ac-cording to His likeness, meaning that man is the way God created him to be (Genesis 3:15).

Although man has created many works of art, full of skill, perfection and brilliance, none can give their work a breath of life.

Man can paint or sculpt, say, a certain animal, he can reproduce every detail with mastery, every hue, every light effect, with such wisdom that one could:

La palabra del texto original griego poiema que se traduce obra maestra, significa aquello que ha sido creado con habilidad y sabiduría de forma artesa-nal, donde el artista ha puesto toda su experiencia, ca-pacidad, personalidad, atención, es decir, se ha vaciado en esa obra.

Por tanto, nosotros, la Iglesia, somos la obra maestra de lo que ha hecho Dios. Somos un poema que expresa su infinita sabiduría e intención divina.

Ni el Universo, ni las galaxias, ni la tierra, ni el hombre creado por Dios, son su obra maestra.

En realidad, la obra maestra de Dios es la Iglesia, el cuerpo de Cristo, la plenitud de aquel que todo lo llena en todo.

Somos una entidad completamente nueva en el universo y solo tenemos aquí 2000 años. Dios nos recreó en Cris-to, por medio de la regeneración, para que fuésemos su nueva creación.

En la segunda carta del apóstol San Pablo a los Corin-tios 5:17 se dice: De modo que si alguno esta en Cristo nueva criatura es, las cosas viejas pasaron, he aquí to-das son hechas nuevas.

Por tanto, somos su obra máxima, su poe-ma.

What is God’s masterpiece? The skies? The earth? Man? Can we know?

Yes, the Bible reveals it. Ephesians 2:10 says: For we are his masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus for good things. The word in the original Greek text poiema translated to masterpiece, means that which has been created with skill and wisdom of traditional methods, where the artist has put all his experien-ce, capability, personality, attention, meaning he has put his soul into that work of art.

Therefore, we, the Church, are the masterpiece of what God has done. We are a poem expressing his infinite wisdom and divine significance.

Neither the universe nor galaxies, nor earth, nor man created by God, is his masterpiece.

Actually, the masterpiece of God is the Church, the body of Christ, the fullness of him that everything fills up.

We are a completely new entity in the universe and we have been here only 2000 years.

God created us in Christ, through feedback, that we should be the new creation.

In the second letter of the Apostle Paul to the Corinthians 5:17 says: Therefore if anyone is in Christ he is a new creature, old things have passed away, behold all things have become new.

Therefore, we are his greatest work, his poem.

He is the only marvelous artist.

1. Ver la Iglesia como un instrumento del plan de Dios para expandir el Reino y la esperanza que está en Jesucristo para la vida del mudo ahora y después. 2. Ver el avivamiento de la Iglesia con gozo, el cual viene al compartir le Fe de cada creyente como parte del crecimiento espiritual de todos co-lectivamente y no solo de los que poseen el llama-do de Evangelismo.

3. Ver que la Iglesia valore el Evangelismo a un mayor grado.

4. Ver la Iglesia incrementar el compartimiento de la Fe personal (persona-a-persona) versus una sobre dependencia en evangelismo corporativo y pragmático. 5. Ver que la Iglesia ofrezca opción de entrena-miento y capacitación para el 95% de los Cristia-nos que no están actualmente comprometidos en compartir su Fe.

6. Ver que la Iglesia haga más que netamente evangelismo de adultos versus su actual estado declinante.

7. Ver que la Iglesia no se atemorice a comunicar el evangelio comunicándolo sin ofender o actuar como un fanático religioso.

8. Ver que la Iglesia alcance un 25% más de su membresía adulta activa en el compartimiento de su Fe lo cual es típico en las Iglesias florecientes.

9. Ver que la Iglesia tenga un incremento numérico modesto de manera libre y efectiva compartiendo el poder de Dios trabajando revolucionariamente (transformadoramente) en sus vidas.

10. Ver que la Iglesia entrene maestros y obreros quienes en retorno, entrenen a su propia gente congregacional.

11. Ser socios con Pastores, Iglesias y Denomi-naciones en educar, equipar y entrenar evange-lísticamente hablando a sus equipos ministeriales ayudándoles a cumplir La Gran Comisión en Mateo 28:19-20

No es de extrañar que ante esta situación los partidos na-cionalistas y que pretenden poner freno a la inmigración cosechen éxitos electores en toda Europa. El Frente Na-cional francés de Marine Le Pen, acaba de hacerse con la alcaldía de Brignoles. Lo mismo ocurre en Holanda y Reino Unido. (9)

¿Cómo se manifiesta el crecimiento musulmán en los Esta-dos Unidos y en qué medida está influyendo en la sociedad donde vivimos?

En un inicio veíamos que Oriana Fallaci no creía que la inmigración musulmana pudiera alterar la identidad nor-teamericana pues considera que todavía está por formar-se.

¿Qué papel jugaría el Islam en esa futura identidad?

Si al 66 % de crecimiento de fieles del Islam en Estados Unidos se añade que la segunda religión en crecimiento es el mormonismo – con casi un 45 % - esta última es una religión que si bien usa la Biblia niega la Trinidad- y que las iglesias protestantes no lograron crecer más que en un 15 %, podemos entender que el aspecto religioso de la Unión cambiara en las próximas décadas.

Por otra parte, de acuerdo a un estudio de la BBC que cita un sondeo realizado por Mosque Survey, el 12 % de las conversiones al Islam en 2011 procedían de la comu-nidad hispana, cifra que representa un aumento en una comunidad tradicionalmente católica. Según este mismo reporte, un 30 % de los que acudían a una mezquita de

In the previous edition, we analyzed the growth of Islam in the UnitedStates and the impact that it could have in the reli-gious map of North America if we begin to compare the effects that this phenomenon is having in the Eastern Hemisphere that have already justified the term “Eurabia” to denominate this reality happening in the other side of the Atlantic.

En la edición anterior, estuvimos analizando el crecimiento del Islam en los Estados Unidos y que impacto podría este tener en el mapa religioso norteamericano si comparamos los efectos que ya está teniendo este fenómeno, en otras regiones del mundo occidental y han justificado el término Eurabia para denominar esta realidad del otro lado del Atlántico.

How does Muslim growth manifest in the United States and to what extent is influencing the society we live in ?

Initially Oriana Fallaci did not think that immigration could alter Muslim American identity because she be-lieves that is yet to be formed .

What role does Islam play in that future identity ?

If the 66 % growth of those faithful to Islam in the Uni-ted States adds that the second religion Mormonism is growing - with almost 45 % - the latter is a religion that uses the Bible but denies the Trinity , and that the Protestants failed to grow more than 15% can unders-tand that the religious aspect of the Union will change in the coming decades.

Si se tiene en cuenta de que los hispanos son el grupo de más alto en emigración a los Estados Unidos se pueden entender las consecuencias en caso de mantenerse esta reciente tendencia.

Algunos grupos evangélicos creen que teniendo en cuen-ta el crecimiento de religiones que no reconocen el dogma cristiano de la Trinidad como los mormones y Testigos de Jehová sumado al auge del diálogo interreligioso entre las confesiones cristianas tradicionales y el Islam, conducirá a la aparición de un nuevo movimiento que en ingles se llama Christlam, es decir la fusión de cristianismo e isla-mismo.

El portal digital islámico Harun Yahya lo expone de esta forma: En el Corán, Allah nos informa de que los musulma-nes invitan a la gente del Libro (cristianos y judíos) a unirse en una palabra común: Di: ¡Gente del Libro! Venid a una palabra común para todos: Adoremos únicamente a Allah, sin asociarle nada y no nos tomemos unos a otros como señores en vez de Allah. (10)

La Iglesia Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church en Houston junto con comunidades cristianas en Atlanta, Seattle y De-troit inició recientemente una serie de sermones diseñados para producir la reconciliación ecuménica entre cristianis-mo e Islam. Junto con los sermones, las lecciones de la escuela dominical estarán centradas en las enseñanzas inspiradas del profeta Mahoma. A los asistentes se les pro-veyó de coranes.

Asimismo, la Iglesia Heartsong en Cordova, Tennessee, ha permitido que su templo sea utilizado por una comunidad islámica como centro de adoración en los días que no se ofrece culto.

De igual manera alrededor del 40 % de las mezquitas existentes en los EE.UU han sido abiertas después del año 2000. (11) Unas cincuenta mezquitas que han tratado de abrirse a lo largo del país ha enfrentado resistencia de la comunidad donde pretende situarse.

La tensión generada por el crecimiento del Islam y del diá-logo interreligioso entre cristianismo e Islam llevó a que en 2008, a raíz de la toma de posesión del presidente Barack Obama, el conocido predicador y escritor cristiano Rick Warren fuera cuestionado por orar en el nombre de Jesús y de Isa (nombre con el que los musulmanes se refieren a Jesús).

Un testimonio del cambio en el panorama religioso nor-teamericano que está provocando la expansión del Islam en EE.UU nos viene de la mano de Christianity Today que en un artículo titulado Worshiping Jesus in the Mosque (Adorando a Jesús en la mezquita) se pregunta: puede una persona de otra tradición religiosa seguir a Jesús sin ser cristiano?

Some evangelical groups believe that taking into ac-count the growth of religions that do not recognize the Christian dogma of the Trinity, such as the Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses added to the boom of inte-rreligious dialogue between traditional Christian deno-minations and Islam.

This will lead to the emergence of a new movement in English called Christlam, the fusion of Christianity and Islam.

Also, the Heartsong Church in Cordova , Tennessee , has allowed the temple to be used by an Islamic com-munity as a center of worship in the days they not offered worship. Similarly, about 40 % of the existing mosques in the U.S. have been opened after 2000. (11)

About fifty mosques that have tried to open throughout the country have faced resistance from the community which aims to be in.

The voltage generated by the growth of Islam and in-terreligious dialogue between Christianity and Islam was in 2008 , following the inauguration of President Barack Obama.

Después de un tiempo intentando vivir como un evangélico, Abu Jaz decidió insertar su fe cristiana dentro del marco cul-tural islámico.

Así lo refiere: Si tú crees que aún los musulmanes han recibido una revelación general, entonces tienes que empezar desde ahí. Si no lo crees, no crees tu propia teología evangélica pero si tú vienes a ellos con las nuevas buenas, tú tienes que recibir el nombre que ellos tienen para ellos, Alá.

Si nosotros decimos que el Dios que ellos conocen como Alá no es Dios, no estamos hablando contra el Islam sino contra la doctrina de la revelación general. El misionero debe primero recibir el nombre del Creador a través del pueblo islámico y entonces ellos tienen la autoridad celestial para darle al pue-blo el nombre del Salvador, Isa al Masih ( Jesús el Mesias )

Las personas nos preguntan ¿Quién es Isa para ustedes? Nues-tra respuesta es: es la Palabra de Alá. Cuando ellos entienden el Evangelio más claramente no quieren tener una identidad religiosa musulmana pero todavía no quieren dejar su identi-dad cultural musulmana, lo cual incluye formas previas de vida y adoración.

Como puede verse, en algunos de los casos las conversiones al cristianismo provenientes del Islam han dado lugar a un nue-vo sincretismo que algunos denominan Chrislam. Y, al parecer, el declive de las denominaciones protestantes ha hecho que varias iglesias, como anotáramos antes, han decidido reforzar el diálogo interreligioso, abriendo el espacio para considerar el Islam uno de los medios para acceder a Dios.

Lo que la aparición de esta tendencia muestra y que como ve-mos ha llamado la atención de Christianity Today, es que varias iglesias y líderes están percatándose del crecimiento del Islam e intentan de alguna manera contrarrestar dicho fenómeno acudiendo al sincretismo.

Si como medio de atraer a la creciente comunidad musulmana renunciamos a utilizar el nombre de Jesús, sustituyéndolo por la palabra árabe Isa (que los cristianos árabes no usan pues saben que así se nombra a Jesús en el Corán, donde se le ve como un profeta y no como Hijo de Dios) estamos renunciando a nuestra identidad cristiana.

No bastan las buenas intenciones frente al fenómeno del cre-cimiento del Islam. Lamentablemente vivimos en un tiempo en que el diálogo interreligioso pretende suplantar el propósito de la misión. En otras palabras, se pretende que a través de la búsqueda de los elementos comunes entre el cristianismo y otras religiones se podrá lograr la meta de una adoración común. La Biblia muestra que dicho camino es contrario a la voluntad de Dios.

Frente al crecimiento demográfico musulmán y el fenómeno de las conversiones al Islam, la actitud de la Iglesia está en vivir lo que se predica desde el pulpito, con humildad y fidelidad a Dios, llevando el mensaje de salvación a aquellos que buscan a Dios de una forma inadecuada.

After trying to live as an evangelical , Abu Jaz decided to insert their Christian faith within the Islamic cultural framework .

This was referred: If you believe that even the Muslims have received a general revelation, then you have to start from the-re. If you do not believe, do not believe your own evangelical theology but if you come to them with new good, you have to get the name they have for them, Allah.

If we say that they know God as Allah is not God we are not talking against Islam, but against the doctrine of ge-neral revelation. The missionary must first receive the nameof the Creator through the Islamic people and then they have the heavenly authority to give the people the Savior’s name, Isa al Masih (Jesus the Messiah)

The people ask Who is Isa for you? Our answer is: it is the Word of Allah.

When they understand the gospel more clearly, they do not want to have a Muslim religious identity but do not want to leave their Muslim cultural identity, including pre-vious forms of life and worship. As it can be seen, in some cases conversions from Islam to Christianity have led to a new syncretism that some call Chrislam.

And, apparently , the decline of the Protestant denomi-nations have made several churches, as we have stated before, have decided to strengthen interfaith dialogue, opening the space to consider Islam one of the means to access God.

What the emergence of this trend as we see shows and has caught the attention of Christianity Today , is that several churches and leaders are realizing the growth of Islam and try to somehow counteract the phenomenon going to syn-cretism .

If as a means of attracting the growing Muslim communi-ty give up using the name of Jesus, replacing the Arabic word Isa (that Arab Christians do not wear well knowing that Jesus is named in the Qur’an, where he is seen as a prophet and not as the Son of God) we are giving up our Christian identity.

Good intentions are not enough growth to the phenome-non of Islam. Unfortunately we live in a time when inter-faith dialogue is intended to replace the purpose of the mis-sion. In other words, it is intended that through the pursuit of the common elements between Christianity and other religions are able to achieve the goal of a common wor-ship. The Bible shows that this way is contrary to the will of God.

Facing the Muslim population growth and the phenome-non of conversion to Islam, the attitude of the Church is to live what is preached from the pulpit, with humility and faithfulness to God , carrying the message of salvation to those who seek God improperly.

Iglesia de sordomudos alaban a Dios en lenguaje de señas

Al menos 60 personas, miembros de la iglesia evan-gélica Desafío Misión Cristiana, rompen la barrera del sonido, alaban a Dios con gestos con las ma-nos... es que son sordomudos.

Al menos 60 personas se organizan para realizar sus cultos en lenguaje de se ñas que forman parte de una congregación más grande.

En la congregación se celebran dos cultos de ado-ración, para los que oyen y hablan y para los sordo-mudos en una pequeña plaza a la par.

El guatemalteco Mario Solórzano dirige esta iglesia, quien lleva el mensaje del evangelio con entusias-tas rutinas de muecas y rápidos movimientos con los dedos.

La hermana del líder espiritual, Priscila Solórzano, tradujo las gesticulaciones del pastor con las que explicó a EL HERALDO el particular método para di-fundir las buenas nuevas de Jesucristo.

La prédica comienza cuando el pastor lleva una urna de madera en forma de arca en cuyo interior hay papeles con nombres de actividades que son sacados por los feligreses. Los creyentes tienen que presentar una prédica del tema mencionado en los

papeles.

“Y así comienza un derroche de ademanes y movi-mientos con los que los sordomudos se comunican para predicar las sagradas escrituras. No hay barre-ras, todo lo que está escrito en la Biblia se puede explicar en el lenguaje de señas”, expresa con un movimiento de manos del pastor Solórzano.

El oficio religioso no es del todo sosegado, ya que los fieles, si bien no hablan, sacan de su boca trun-cados sonidos con los que refuerzan el mensaje de señas.

Cada domingo a un sordomudo le toca referirse a lo aprendido de los mensajes espirituales y para ello debe prepararse con lectura y oración.

El culto no se limita a un simple rito. La congrega-ción interpreta alabanzas a Dios con la misma o in-cluso más pasión que los que oyen y hablan.

Con habilidades de mimos, los sordomudos des-pliegan un repertorio de movimientos corporales, guiños y monerías.

Las expresiones parecen penetrar la intimidad es-piritual de los creyentes, quienes pueden repetir las señas o hacer otras con las que manifiesten el tipo de sentimiento que están viviendo en ese mo-mento. “Las canciones no son las mismas que se escuchan sobre música cristiana, son compuestas por los miembros de la iglesia”, explica Priscila So-lórzano.

Angélica San Martín es una de las cristianas que asiste a esta iglesia desde hace varios años y ase-gura que el no poder hablar o escuchar no es li-mitación para poder sentirse estremecida por el poder de Dios. “Ellos son normales desde el punto de vista de los sentimientos, lloran, se expresan, se exaltan porque el mensaje igual les penetra”, dice el esposo de Angélica, Jeremi Sánchez, quien es el único que habla y escucha de esa iglesia y acompa-ña a su pareja a las congregaciones.

Alertan de cambios culturales que desafían y amenazan a la iglesia

Es necesario que los cristianos estén alertas de los “tres cambios culturales que desafían y represen-tan una amenaza para la iglesia”, dijo el apologista y evangelista, Josh McDowell, en una conferencia de Apologética Cristiana realizado en el Seminario Evangélico del Sur.

El primero es un cambio epistemológico que está ocurriendo con respecto a las verdades bíblicas de-bido a perspectivas modernas de la Palabra de Dios, Según Christian Post.

Tuvimos un cambio importante acerca de lo que creemos que es la verdad y de dónde viene. Hemos pasado de estar centrados en Dios a centrarnos en nosotros mismos. de ser objetivo a ser subjetivo y de ser interno a externo, dijo.

El evangelista afirma que la verdad que la iglesia defiende es vista simplemente como la opinión personal de algunas personas, especialmente por jóvenes, debido a la idea que la mayoría piensa que Dios no existe.

“En 1991, el 51% de los adultos jóvenes evangéli-cos, dijo que no hay verdad, aparte de sus propias opiniones. Hoy, esa cifra es de 91% “, dijo Mc-Dowell.

El segundo aspecto sería la “explosión de la infor-mación” de Internet, es un factor importante para desafiar como los jóvenes ven la cultura, la iglesia, y sus puntos de vista morales. Según su investigación, millones de jóvenes toman unos 34 GB de datos de Internet cada día, que es equivalente a la cantidad de letras que se encuentran en 8.160 canciones.

Ve y hagan declaraciones de la verdad y oirás decir: “¿Cómo sabes que es verdad?”, dijo McDowell. “Todos los jóvenes, incluso los cristianos, la era de Internet está desgastando sus convicciones porque creen que mañana van a encontrar otra cosa”.

Una pequeña tablilla de barro, de una antigüedad de 3.700 años, revela que el Arca de Noé no era lar-ga sino redonda, además contiene un relato de la salvación de los animales, según reciente descubri-miento del científico británico Irving Finkel,según publica Fox News.

El experto en escritura cuneiforme del Museo Britá-nico mostró la tabla, la cual tiene el tamaño de un teléfono celular, y explicó que en ella se encuentran las medidas del arca de Noé, que para gran sorpre-sa de todos “era redonda, en forma de una enorme dona con una superficie de 360 metros cuadrados y paredes de seis metros de altura”, dijo.

Según el descubrimiento de Finkel, a quien le tomó dos años descifrar la escritura de la tabla, las ins-trucciones eran que la embarcación debía de ser insumergible y los animales tenían que abordarla de dos en dos, tal y como lo establece la historia bíblica del Arca de Noé.

“Las instrucciones no contradicen la creencia reli-giosa establecida en el Antiguo Testamento”, según la cual Dios ordenó al profeta Noé construir un bar-co para salvar a su familia y varias parejas de anima-les del gran diluvio universal, afirmó.

Según Finkel, cree que la historia del Arca de Noé tiene sus orígenes en Mesopotamia y que fue tras-mitida a los judíos durante su exilio en Babilonia. “Estoy 130 por ciento seguro”, afirmó el investi-gador del Museo Británico, “pero esto de ninguna manera contradice o descarta la historia del Anti-guo Testamento, sino que ofrece un nuevo entendi-miento de los orígenes del gran diluvio”.

Sin embargo, otros expertos criticaron a Finkel por no haber compartido sus hallazgos con la comuni-dad científica y de estar utilizando el sensacionalis-mo para promocionar su libro. David Owen, profe-sor de Estudios de Oriente Medio en la Universidad de Cornell, y Elizabeth Stone, una experta en Me-sopotamia Antigua, que trabaja en la Universidad de Stony Brook, Nueva York, celebran el descubri-miento, pero creen que hay puntos controvertidos. Sin embargo, ambos coinciden en que un arca ronda tiene sentido, ya que hay muchos registros de los barcos antiguos con esta forma en la antigua Me-sopotamia.

Según el libro de Finkel, la tabla registra la histo-ria de una deidad que ordenó la construcción de un barco gigante “redonda como una enorme rosqui-lla” tendría unos 75 metros de diámetro y paredes de dos metros de altura, hecha totalmente de ma-dera, atado por cuerdas y recubierto de betún.
