3T-SECTION TECHNIQUE

This process includes partial color around the parting and front hairline, leaving the remaining hair uncolored. This service is recommended as a way of refreshing any previous color. Isolate a T-shaped panel, incorporating the front outer hairline and the top crown section.

Introduce a block coloring technique to the area. Apply Color 1 (IGORA COLOR10) at the regrowth and Color 2(IGORA VIBRANCE) to mid-lenghts and ends of the sectioned hair, ensuring a seamless color transition, preventing color banding. All to process according to instructions for use. Then rinse, emulsify and remove.

EDUCATION TIP:

Ensure that there is no overexaggerated color deposit on mid-lengths in order to prevent unwanted darkening or color banding. Introduce a demi-permanent service on lengths and ends in case additional gloss is needed.

After development time, add a small amount of warm water and emulsify.

Introduce a curved diagonal back section to isolate the perimeter. Work with a freehand painting technique, seamlessly feathering the product throughout mid-lengths and ends. Create a V shape when applying the lightener to achieve a dimensional balayage result.

Repeat freehand technique on the opposite side. Develop visually until the desired undertone has been achieved, not exceeding the 45 minutes development time.

OMBRÉ & FREE HAND TECHNIQUE BALAYAGE

The key to an impactful yet super soft balayage is the “negative space”. This refers to the careful contrast between the base color and the lightened pieces that allow the hair to look gently illuminated. Start off by dividing the hair into 3 sections following the natural parting of the hair.

Mix BLONDME Bond Enforcing Premium Clay Lightener with BLONDME Premium Developer 12%/40 Vol. (1:1.5). Take the first section and divide it into smaller, sickle-shaped pieces.

Load the product in the middle part of the hair, then feather upwards, and gradually deposit it towards the ends.

Continue with the product application section by section, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends throughout the entire look. Make sure to finish one section before moving to the next. Leave in for up to 45 min. Rinse.

Use BLONDME Keratin Restore Bonding Shampoo and rinse thoroughly. Apply BLONDME Intense Care Bonding Potion and comb through for an even distribution. Generously spread the BLONDME Keratin Restore Bonding Mask directly on top of the potion. Leave the mixture in for 5 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Create a large V section at the top panel. Apply the highlightening technique by using weaves, moving gradually to the crown area. All to process according to instructions for use. Then rinse, emulsify and remove.

DARKENING THE HAIR When hair is pre-lightened, highlifted or highlighted, there are two issues that can impact a correct, even color result:

If hair is porous at the ends, small red-orange pigments may escape from the hair shaft quickly, while cool pigments are absorbed. Hair could look dark, matte, muddy or even green.

If the base is too light to support a dark color, the final tone may be lighter than desired and look transparent or faded.

When taking a client back to a darker color from a very light and/or porous base, pre-pigmentation is necessary to ensure the optimal result.
