His former owners were contacted, but as yet they haven’t shown any inclination to come get their family member. Weighing sixteen pounds, he is very underweight and should weigh at least twenty. Inquisitive and spunky, Shorty is a sociable senior citizen who likes both people and other dogs. 2. A3663107 Matisse is an adventurous, effusively friendly five year old white neutered male Bischon Frise/Poodle mix who was found in Covina on October 2nd and brought to the Baldwin Park shelter. Weighing twenty- two pounds, Matisse is a confident and self-assured boy. He gets along with other dogs, and will be an ideal hiking or walking companion. 4. A4014968 Bubba is a majestic, friendly four year old black and fawn neutered male German Shepherd who was found as a stray in Baldwin Park and brought to the shelter on October 12th. Bubba weighs eighty pounds – he’s a big, regal boy. Bubba walks well on leash, knows some commands, and absolutely adores everyone! He shakes hands, and rolls over for belly rubs, which cause him to wag his tail profusely and smile! 5. A4126100 Chubby is a bubbly, absolutely beautiful two year old brown and black neutered male Tibetan terrier mix who was found in Azuza on October 2nd and brought to the Baldwin Park shelter. Weighing fifteen pounds, Chubby is okay with small dogs but barks at big dogs. Chubby doesn’t appear to have had any training yet - but was catching on quickly when our volunteers started working with him. 6. A4162160 Nadine is a bouncy one year old tan and black Shepherd mix puppy who was found in Altadena on July 23rd and brought to the Baldwin Park shelter. Weighing fifty pounds, this girl was called “a bundle of love” by one of our volunteers, and she wants to be everybody’s best friend. This medium energy girl knows “sit” and walks well on the leash. She adores treats, and would be easily trained to do tricks. 7. A4178344 Two-Step is a playful eight month old tan short-haired neutered male Chihuahua who came to the Baldwin Park shelter as a stray with his companion Ty (A4178345) on August 26th. Weighing seven pounds this sweet boy received his name because he is always dancing around the kennel looking for attention. Two-Step hasn’t had any leash training, but he loves people and gets along well with other dogs. He was adopted out in September, but returned to the shelter on October 16th because his former owners said he was too high energy for them. Weighing sixty pounds Sinatra walks well on leash and gets along extremely well with other dogs. She is a bit chubby at twenty pounds and could stand to lose two or three pounds. Celeste is initially reserved, but once she gets to know you she becomes quite loving. Celeste has a moderate energy level and hasn’t had any training, but she is smart and will learn quickly. Weighing fifty pounds, this girl may be the most effusively friendly dog in the entire shelter. A4188172 Gizmo is a happy and gregarious one and a half year old black and gray neutered male Lhasa Apso puppy who was dumped at the Baldwin Park shelter on September 15th because he had a tumor on his belly and his former owners did not want to pay to have it biopsied. The tumor turned out to be just a hernia, and the Baldwin Park shelter veterinarians fixed it when he was neutered on October 14th. Our veterinary staff have cleaned the wound, and she is going to the clinic on Monday to have the bullet removed. We don’t know who caused the fight – Mochi seems to be friendly towards other dogs. Weighing seventy pounds, Mochi will be ninety pounds when fully grown.
