Issue

• Campus had several cases of misappropriates of money

• Cash handling procedures re-evaluated for entire campus

• No longer allowed to collect money at our service points

• Money has to now be collected at the campus cashier window only

Charge

• To develop and implement a methodology to electronically transfer fines/fees to the campus’ ERP system, Banner, so the fines/fees could be charge to the patron’s account.

Problems

• Design by committee• No clear definition of what was expected,

except make it work• No connector between Banner and Voyager• More problems not realized at the time we

were charged with this

How does it work

1. 5:00am weekdays Bursar Transfer System runs on Voyager

2. 5:10am weekdays custom code runs on Apps server and moves the bursar SIF file to the apps and creates the new charge file. The new charge file is then transfer back to the Voyager server.

3. 5:20am weekdays the new charge file is transfer to the ERP server for import
