  • Music in the Barn

FRIDAY EVENINGGeorge Montague (Headliner) Ingenious singer songwriter and multi instrumentalist George Montague is an exceptional musician with immense energy, and countless contagious original songs. Playing piano and guitar, George is known for entertaining and rousing enthusiastic audiences in uplifting song with his versatile vocals. G enhances his phenomenal live shows by featuring live-looping vocal harmonies and beatboxing, creating remarkable hooks to accompany his abiding melodies producing dynamic performances, solo or with his not-so-big-band. The full richness of George Montagues undaunted and intelligent play with a myriad of musical textures can soon be experienced on his captivating and extraordinarily ear-catching new album Curiouser and Curiouser George.

    Cahon-Fused

Spinki and Jarv, from the band FUSED, on guitars and vocals, along with drummer Franko. Normally a four piece electric rock band, this stripped-down acoustic version incorporates a Cahon for percussion, hence the name. The sound is different, but the songs are the same. Get ready for some rock n roll.

    SATURDAY EVENING

    Frankensteins Lobster (Headliner)

The only band that can claim to play Rock Ukulele, and rock bass ukulele, along with the smallest drum kits you will see on a festival or arena stage. The Lobsters have always been about entertainment and having a good time, which may explain that the lead singer, who goes by the name of Toss is often fuelled throughout the gig by pints of scrumpy being passed to him from various audience members. Gary on bass has been known to spontaneously translate the songs he is singing into Cornish just to confuse the rest of the band. Paul the drummer on the other hand has been known to drum so energetically that he has single handedly raised the temperature of the planet by at least 5 degrees. All of this whilst wearing Viking helmets and kilts, and belting out some classic songs, with the occasional rock Kazoo solo.

    Ags Connolly

Ags Connolly is a traditional country singer-songwriter from Oxfordshire. His second album Nothin Unexpected was released in February 2017.

As a live performer, Ags has headlined shows across the UK, Europe and the US while also

appearing at several major UK festivals. He has also opened for various international artists including Rosanne Cash. Ags has been featured on both Bob Harriss BBC Radio 2 Country show and his Under The Apple Tree sessions, while being championed from various quarters including The Guardian and BBC Arts Editor Will Gompertz. In 2016, Country Music People magazine named his song When Country Was Proud as one of the top 50 country songs from the last 30 years.
