Overload- ing can cause unnecessary wear and tear to the laundry, give a disappointing drying result and cause more creasing. Do not load the drum with items that are still soaking wet. Make sure your laun- dry is spun at the maximum spin speed before drying. Minimum iron fabric tends to crease more, the larger the load. This is particu- larly the case for garments made from very fine weave fabric, such as shirts or blouses. 2. Loading the tumble dryer ĺ Press the button to switch the dryer on. The interior drum lighting will come on. ĺ Open the door. ĺ Unfold the laundry and load loosely into the drum. Do not overload the drum. Energy saving tips

To avoid unnecessarily long drying times and high consumption of energy:

– Make sure your laundry is spun at the maximum spin speed before drying.

– Load according to the optimum amount of laundry recommended for the programme being used. Underloading is uneconomical. Overloading gives poorer quality of drying and may cause unnecessary creasing.

– After every cycle remove the fluff from the fluff filters in the door and in the door opening.

– Ensure sufficient room ventilation. – Check the condenser unit once a year and clean it if necessary.

Delay start Fragrance flacon Cleaning and care Problem solving guide

These short instructions are not a substitute for the operating instructions supplied with the appliance. Please read the operating instructions supplied with your tumble dryer before using it for the first time and take note of the Warning and Safety instructions, as well as the full descriptions on how to use your appliance.

Quick Start GuideHeat pump tumble dryer

Problem/Fault message Possible cause and remedy

Code 000 flashes / lights up after switching on

Access via a code has been activated. You must enter the correct code to use the tumble dryer. See "Settings menu - PIN Code" in the operating instruc-tions.

After a programme is cancelled, the following lights up: Adjust the load The drum is empty or the laundry is too dry

This is not a fault. In some programmes, if the drum has been overloaded or underloaded, the programme will be cancelled. This can also happen if the items are already dry. ĺ Open and close the door to resume drying. ĺ Use the Warm air programme (timed drying) to dry individ-ual items.

At the end of the pro-gramme, the following lights up: Information Clean out airways

There is a build-up of fluff in the airways. ĺ Clean the fluff filters. ĺ Clean the plinth filter (see "Cleaning and care").

To switch off the message: ĺ Confirm with OK.

After a programme is cancelled, the following lights up: Empty the container Empty the container or check the drain hose

The condensed water container is full or there is a kink in the drain hose. ĺ Empty the condensed water container. ĺ Check the drain hose.

To switch off the message: ĺ Open and close the door while the dryer is switched on.

Information Fill condensate container

This is to remind you that water is taken from the condensed water container when the Steam smoothing programme is being used. The condensed water container must be filled with water to at least the –min– marker. ĺ Confirm with OK.

Information Please open and close the door

This it to remind you to load the laundry when the Steam smoothing programme is selected. ĺ Load the laundry in the drum.

Extra cooling The programme has finished but the laundry has not yet cooled down. ĺ Either remove the laundry and spread it out to cool down or leave it in the tumble dryer to cool down during the cooling phase.

The dryer is switched off at the end of the programme

The tumble dryer switches off. This is not a fault, but a nor-mal function.See "Settings menu - Appliance switch-off status" in the operating instructions.

Problem/Fault message Possible cause and remedy

The display is dark and the Start/Stop button is flashing slowly

The tumble dryer is in standby mode. This is not a fault, but a normal function. The drum will turn at intervals in the Anti-crease phase.See "Settings menu - Display switch-off status" in the oper-ating instructions.

The laundry is not suffi-ciently dry

The load consisted of different types of fabric. ĺ Finish drying using the Warm air timed drying programme. ĺ Select a more suitable programme next time.

Tip: You can alter the residual moisture level for some pro-grammes. See "Settings menu" in the operating instructions.

Items made of synthetic fibres are charged with static electricity after drying

Synthetic fibres tend to attract static charge.Static charge can be reduced by adding a fabric softener to the final rinse in the washing programme.

There is a build-up of fluff

Fluff is principally the result of friction when garments are being worn and to some extent when they are being washed. Machine drying hardly causes any fluff to form.Fluff is collected by the fluff filters and the plinth filter and can be removed easily.See "Cleaning and care".

There are humming noises

This is not a fault. The compressor is operating. These noises are quite normal and do not indicate a fault.

Tip: Using a fragrance flacon (optional accessory) will add a pleasant fragrance to your laundry.

Before using a fragrance flacon, please read "Warning and Safety instructions - Using a fragrance flacon (optional acces-sory)" and "Fragrance flacon" in the oper-ating instructions.

Inserting a fragrance flacon1. 2.

3. 4.

Markers and must line up with one another.

5. 6.

ĺ Turn the outer ring clockwise a little.

Before drying ĺ Turn the outer

ring clockwise a little.

The further you open the flacon, the more intense the fragrance.

After dryingTo avoid the fragrance escaping needlessly:

ĺ Turn the outer ring anti-clock-wise until marker is in position .

If you want to dry laundry occasionally without adding fragrance: remove the fra-grance flacon and store it in its original packaging until you want to use it again. See the following section.

Before cleaning the fluff filters ĺ Remove the

fragrance flacon (reverse points 3 and 4) and store it in its original packaging.

Never lay the fra-grance flacon down on any sur-face as the fra-grance will run out.

Emptying the condensed water container

Empty the condensed water container after every drying programme.

Empty the container will light up in the dis-play if the maximum level of the condensed water container is reached. To delete Empty the container: open and close the door while the dryer is switched on.
