It really makes
me feel chilly Florence, some
great word

Mr Snowman by Alycia Blount
Hello Mr Snowman, its nice to see you, Standing like a statue, not even saying boo.
With your big round belly, like a globe made of
snow, A carrot for your nose and a bright red bow.
Huge black eyes, as black as coal,
A scarf around your neck and a hat made from a bowl.
Arms made from twigs and some big brown sticks, Your big belly decorated, with buttons made from
bricks.
You sit there watching the world pass you by, The children playing, as the snow falls from the
sky.
The sun starts to shine and the snow melts away, Bye bye Mr Snowman, I’ll see you again someday.
Alycia has been working really hard this week. She’s also been reading a new David Walliams book and writing a book review each week. She has started some research about Ancient Egypt on a PowerPoint and will continue with this next week. A beautiful poem Alycia, very well written and keep up the brilliant attitude to your learning.

Aston and Ezmee have been baking cupcakes and sausage rolls to send into New Cross hospital for all the staff working on there ICU wards. We talked about the long hours these people are working and how some of them are living away from their fami-lies in order to keep relatives safe and by having these treats available during their shifts might cheer them up. What a lovely, thoughtful thing to do you two-well done, they look delicious!
Rose and Buffy working together on the laptop. The girl’s mum, and author, JJ Barnes has written a piece for the Daily Mail about juggling home learning and working from home https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9175425/The-home-schoolers-juggling-work-teaching-parents-doing-ultimate-lockdown-balancing-act.html Well done girls, good teamwork.
And finally… Do what you can at home...Treat eve-ry day as a fresh start...Be kind to yourselves...Take exercise breaks...Do creative things (that’s still learn-ing)...Remember this will pass and we will all be back together in school sometime in the future...Have a good week everyone. Mrs Jackson x
