A comparison between the Western and Chinese culture as is expres at least until the Second Post War, when the advent of the Maoist regime began to make more rarefied the principles of the local tradition; difformity in the relationship between man and the world and how these differences may affect the paradigms of current architectural practice. Reflections and descriptions originated in the context of the cooperation project promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Conference of Deans of Faculties of Architecture, in the Chinese province of Guangdong. Occasions that have raised the total inadequacy of our way of thinking about architecture in comparison to current processes of production of the project in China. The misconceptions, stereotypes and traps linguistic and cultural, beyond the anecdotes that can generate, manifest a substantial and a profound difference that needs to be explored in depth.TRANSCRIPT
