The problems we have and reasons why we need to conserve our oil.

Way To Much Oil

America relies too much on oil. We have the highest use of oil in the world.

We use 52% of the world’s oil consumption.

Not Just Gas

Oil is not just used to make gasoline. It is also used to make heating oil, jet fuel, propane, asphalt, and otherproducts.

These “otherproducts” actuallymake up a higher percentage of theoil we use thangasoline does.

Barrels and Barrels and Barrels, Oh My!

Americans import 10,031,000 barrels of crude oil a DAY!!

Of these 10,o31,ooo barrels of oil, we consume 9,286,000 barrels of motor gasoline a DAY!!

That’s about 390

million gallons of

gasoline a DAY!!

It Won’t Last Forever

Oil, like other

nonrenewable energy

resources, will eventually

run out.

It is imperative that we,

as a world, can find other

energy resources before the fateful day comes and we run out of oil.

The things we can all do to conserve our oil and support alternative energy resources.

Could you imagine a world where renewable resources reign and oil is kicked to the curb?

It would be such a better place.

More money

A better economy

A better Earth

The Easy Things

Conserving oil can be easy. You can conserve oil by simply putting a

sweatshirt on instead of turning up the heat.Or

Getting a ride from a friend instead of having our parents come and pick you up.

Or Y0u could walk or bike to school instead of

taking a car.

The Big Things

Converting to nonrenewable

resources is the best way to

conserve oil.

Solar, wind, geothermal,

biomass, hydroelectric… it doesn’t matter which one, they’re all better than oil.

Although they may be expensive, they will pay for themselves in the long-run.

You’re the Answer

Everyone has the right to cleaner air and to a cleaner Earth.

However in order to have clean air and a clean Earth, everyone needs to put their time and money into conserving oil and promoting renewable resources.

Time and money is all that is needed.

Donate

Take the extra time and walk to work or to the store.

Spend some extra money to install a wind turbine or a solar panel.

Donate some money to conservation organizations like the Alliance to Save Energy (ASE).

In a nut shell, turn this oil chugging country into a green energy powerhouse. It’s all up to
