¡Create your own PE lesson!
Hi Northwold children! Do you know who I am? Yes, I am the spirit
of Northwold School! I have asked my teachers to help you out
during these weird times and I have asked Mr Gil to make a great PE
workshop for you to create your own PE lesson!
¡Hola! Soy yo, Mr Gil. Buenos dias. Mr Northwold spirit misses you a
lot and has asked to help you out with PE so you can remember what
now seems the good old days. I hope you get a chance to beat Covid
19 where it hurts the most. Being healthy physically and mentally.
¡Remember Mr Gil! These children have other tasks to do and they
are at home, so they have to be mindful with home rules, space and
other things. And obviously they must consider how safe is to do any
activity, if they need help, and when is the right moment to ask, as
brothers, sisters or parents may be busy!
Absolutely agree Mr. That is the reason you can choose how and
when you can do your own lesson in different phases and you can
adapt it to your own situation so it is never a problem to do it.
That is perfect! I think we are going to give you some suggestions
and tips that will help you out to make things better.
¡Atentos!
Consejos y
sugerencias
Be safe: ¡Es lo más importante! Before you do anything ask
your parents.
Respect and collaboration: First things first. We must
respect rules at home and help with everything before doing
anything.
Find a balance with your screen: It is fun to play with the
tablet or the PlayStation but it should not be the only thing
you could be doing to have fun. Play other things!!
Healthy eating: You know you should be eating healthy food
regardless of the situation.
INSTRUCTIONS
You are going to need:
1. A laptop or mobile, Smart tv, Tablet, etc.
2. Space to do your activity.
3. Google translator for the Spanish or a dictionary.
4. A lot of energy.
We are going to divide the PE lesson as we usually do in 3 parts
CALENTAMIENTO, PARTE PRINCIPAL Y RELAJACION
(Find the meaning of these Spanish words in English). You will
find next a chart with the different parts of the lesson and
different activities to choose from each part to complete a
lesson. In some cases, like in this explanation you will have to
find some SPANISH WORDS meanings in blue to understand
what to do next. You will find YouTube links like this
in each activity to show you what to do. You can press control
on the keyboard and click on the left side of the mouse to go
to the link. Ready to go? Scroll down

«Children’s muscles and bones are different than adults. A young body is under constant stress from growth and development, which can lead to tight muscles, varying levels of mobility and flexibility, and potential injuries – all of which can be addressed with proper warm-up and cool-down routines. ». Do a warm up similar to the one we have done in class sometimes. Warm up your cuello, hombros, brazos, manos, piernas, rodillas y pies. Have you not guessed what these are? Maybe this song can help you. Click ctrl and left mouse on the image.

You are now on the proper training part of the lesson. You will have three different sections to work with: RETOS/ENTRENAMIENTO SUPERHÉROES/¡A BAILAR! Try and find what these words mean in English. Right! You should choose one thing to do from each section, but you decide if you want to do more. You are the teacher now!
EL MUNDO DE LOS RETOS es muy divertido. In each box you are going to find a brief explanation of what to do and a link to see it done by someone else.
You can adapt everything to your own ability if you think they are too difficult.
Choose one and try. Only by trying you know if you can.
You can make a list and annotate how many have you completed.
With the permission of your parents you can challenge friend from your class to see who has done which and you can create new ones.
Some of them are explained in Spanish so you will have to translate them using either a dictionary or google translate.

EL ENTRENAMIENTO DE SUPERHÉROES es genial. It is about repeating different exercises during 5 min approximately with a lot of intensity. If you can put the video on the tv and find space even better. You decide if you want to repeat an exercise, change to another one or leave it for another day. Challenge your parents to do it with you if they have time!

RELAJACIÓN. We have arrived at the end of the lesson and it is important we relax and stretch our muscles to avoid injuries. Let’s give a try to a bit of Yoga and Mindfulness to better deal with the challenges of these strange days and beat Coronavirus where it is more important. In our minds. This will help you deal with your emotions and your mind; you will be less angry at the end of the day!
Usa una esterilla para estar más cómodo. Es divertido para relajarse. ¡Recuerda! Debes intentar estar tranquilo y muy atento a tu respiración. Prueba diferentes sesiones y aprende a relajarte. ¡Buena suerte! Hazlo solo o con familia. También es divertido. ¡Invítalos! Tú decides. Repetir o cambiar de actividad ¡A tu gusto!
