The first Italian rating agency to issue ratings regulations and recognized at European level, having obtained in December 2011, registration as a Credit Rating Agency (CRA) by Consob - Competent Authority for Italy - and by ESMA - the new European Authority for financial markets. In recent years, the payments have become a central factor in the life of the

For this reason CRIBIS iTrade Lab was born, the first solution in Italy for the

• It’s the first Italian rating agency to be recognized by the European supervisory authority ( in the end of 2011)

• Today there are twenty rating agencies accredited in the EU (most domestic player)

• All registered CRA are subject to strict supervision and inspection information by ESMA (European Financial Markets Authority)

• The ratings CRIF are valid throughout the EU and

recognized by domestic and European investors

• From January 2014, all credit rating agency

recognized by ESMA are also ECAI (External Credit Assessment Institutions), that is the ratings can be used by banks to calculate capital requirements according Reserved and confidential standard approach of Basilea.
