Dear IC Delegates, are you already counting the days? We definitely are… working hours at the CC office are getting longer and longer and the level of excitement is growing day by day! Some AI members have also arrived already and we’re all looking forward to the first delegates to get to Moscow. EARLYARRIVALS

We will organize pickups at the airports starting from August 14th. Should you arrive before this date, you need to get to the city by yourself.

From the three major airports in Moscow, Sheremetyevo, Domodedovo, Vnukovo, there are trains going to the city called Aeroxpress. Just follow the signs at the airport, the tickets cost 320 rubels. Please check http://www.aeroexpress.ru/en for timetables

Aeroxpress takes you to major metro stations in the city. The Metro is the best way to get around in Moscow. Make sure to print a Metro map or pick one up at the airport because in the Metro there is hardly anything written in English.

In case you face any problem call:Marina Lukoyanova: +79150435210 | Gabriela Dutra: +79164339076

Pre-Stay is possible from the 14th to the 16th. The hotel will charge the same price per night, as charged for IC, for the pre-stay of IC delegates. The price is 2100 rubles for a double room (1050 rubels per person for one night). There are exchange facilities literally at every corner in Moscow and there is one inside the IC venue as well. You can exchange only Euros or dollars to Rubles in Moscow, so be sure, bring Euros or Dollars with you. Alternatively you can with-draw money with your ATM card. It’s also a good idea to have around 1.000 RUB when you arrive at the airport so that you have some cash for the metro and aeroxpress.

The best option for MCPs who attend Pre-meeting is to check in their whole delegation through express check-in. For this they need the full fee (in case it wasn’t pay before) as well as all the documents of their delegation (see www.ic2012.ru/check-in-info). Chief Delegates, don’t forget to send the documents to [email protected] otherwise you will have long waiting times at check-in!

At the airport or in the plane you will get an immi-gration card when you enter Russia. It’s white and approximately the size of your passport. Keep the card safe, we need to make a copy of it at the check In and submit it to authorities.

Hotel Cosmos will do the registration for you and you don’t need to pay extra. DON’T let your pre-stay hostel register you cause they normally charge something.

Make sure to always have your passport and official registration on you when you walk around Moscow. Police in Moscow can randomly stop people and ask for ID

Russia is a very bureaucratic country. In order to stay legally in Moscow, you need to get registered with the authorities within 7 days of arrival. No worries, the hotel (IC venue) will do that for you free of charge, but there are some things you need to remember:

We only accepct Rubles for payment at the venue and merchandise paymentIf you have paid by online transfer, please bring a receipt or proof of payment with you to check in
