1. SAFETY INFORMATIONBefore the installation and use of the appliance, carefullyread the supplied instructions. The manufacturer is notresponsible if an incorrect installation and use causesinjuries and damages. Always keep the instructions withthe appliance for future reference.

1.1 Children and vulnerable people safetyWARNING!Risk of suffocation, injury or permanentdisability.

• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8years and above and persons with reduced physical,sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experienceand knowledge if they have been given supervision orinstruction concerning use of the appliance in a safeway and understand the hazards involved.

• Do not let children play with the appliance.• Children of less than 3 years should be kept away

unless continuously supervised.• Keep all packaging away from children.• Keep all detergents away from children.• Keep children and pets away from the appliance door

when it is open.• If the appliance has a child safety device, we

1.2 General Safety• Do not change the specification of this appliance.• If the tumble dryer is put on top of a washing machine,

use the stacking kit. The stacking kit, available fromyour authorized vendor, can be used only with theappliance specified in the instructions, supplied with

the accessory. Read it carefully before installation(Refer to the Installation leaflet).

• The appliance can be installed as freestanding orbelow the kitchen counter with correct space (Refer tothe Installation leaflet).

• Do not install the appliance behind a lockable door, asliding door or a door with a hinge on the oppositeside, where the appliance door can not be fullyopened.

• The ventilation openings in the base (if applicable)must not be obstructed by a carpet.

• Connect the mains plug to the mains socket only atthe end of the installation. Make sure that there isaccess to the mains plug after the installation.

• Ensure you have good ventilation in the installationroom to avoid the back flow of gases into the roomfrom appliances burning other fuels, including openfires.

• Exhaust air must not be discharged into a flue which isused for exhausting fumes from appliances burninggas or other fuels. (if applicable)

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced bythe manufacturer, its Authorised Service Centre orsimilarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

• Obey the maximum load volume of 8kg (refer to the“Programme chart” chapter).

• Do not use the appliance if industrial chemicals havebeen used for cleaning.

• Wipe away lint that has accumulated around theappliance.

• Do not run the appliance without a filter. Clean the lintfilter before or after each use.

• Do not dry unwashed items in the tumble dryer.• Items that have been soiled with substances such as

cooking oil, acetone, alcohol, petrol, kerosene, spotremovers, turpentine, waxes and wax removers

should be washed in hot water with an extra amount ofdetergent before being dried in the tumble dryer.

• Items such as foam rubber (latex foam), shower caps,waterproof textiles, rubber backed articles and clothesor pillows fitted with foam rubber pads should not bedried in the tumble dryer.

• Fabric softeners, or similar products, should be usedas specified by the fabric softener instructions.

• Remove all objects from pockets such as lighters andmatches.

• Never stop a tumble dryer before the end of the dryingcycle unless all items are quickly removed and spreadout so that the heat is dissipated.

• The final part of a tumble dryer cycle occurs withoutheat (cool down cycle) to ensure that the items are leftat a temperature that ensures that the items will not bedamaged.

• Before maintenance, deactivate the appliance anddisconnect the mains plug from the mains socket.

2. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS2.1 Installation• Remove all the packaging.• Do not install or use a damaged

appliance.• Obey the installation instruction

supplied with the appliance.• Always be careful when you move the

appliance because it is heavy. Alwayswear safety gloves.

• Do not install or use the appliancewhere the temperature is less than5°C or higher than 35°C.

• Make sure that the floor where youinstall the appliance is flat, stable,heat resistant and clean.

• Make sure that there is air circulationbetween the appliance and the floor.

• Always move the appliance vertically.• The rear surface of the appliance

must be put against the wall.• When the appliance is put in its

permanent position, check if it is fully

level with the aid of a spirit level. If it isnot, adjust the feet until it is.

2.2 Electrical connectionWARNING!Risk of fire and electricalshock.

• The appliance must be earthed.• Make sure that the electrical

information on the rating plate agreeswith the power supply. If not, contactan electrician.

• Always use a correctly installedshockproof socket.

• Do not use multi-plug adapters andextension cables.

• Do not pull the mains cable todisconnect the appliance. Always pullthe mains plug.

• Do not touch the mains cable or themains plug with wet hands.

• Only for UK and Ireland. Theappliance has a 13 amp mains plug. Ifit is necessary to change the fuse inthe mains plug, use a 13 amp ASTA(BS 1362) fuse.

2.3 UseWARNING!Risk of injury, electricalshock, fire, burns or damageto the appliance.

• Use this appliance in a householdonly.

• Do not dry the damaged items whichcontain padding or fillings.

• Only dry fabrics which are applicableto dry in the tumble dryer. Follow theinstructions on the fabric label.

• If you have washed your laundry witha stain remover start an extra rinsecycle before you start the dryer.

• Do not drink or prepare food with thecondensed water/distilled water. It cancause health problems to people andpets.

• Do not sit or stand on the open door.• Do not dry dripping wet clothes in the

tumble dryer.

2.4 Internal lightWARNING!Risk of injury.

• Visible LED radiation, do not lookdirectly into the beam.

• The type of light bulb or halogen lampused for this appliance is only forhousehold appliances. Do not use itfor house lighting.

• To replace the internal light, contactthe Authorised Service Centre.

2.5 Care and cleaningWARNING!Risk of injury or damage tothe appliance.

• Do not use water spray and steam toclean the appliance.

• Clean the appliance with a moist softcloth. Only use neutral detergents. Donot use abrasive products, abrasivecleaning pads, solvents or metalobjects.

2.6 CompressorWARNING!Risk of damage to theappliance.

• The compressor and its system in thetumble dryer is filled with the specialagent which is free from fluoro-chloro-hydrocarbons. This system must staytight. The damage of the system cancause a leakage.

2.7 DisposalWARNING!Risk of injury or suffocation.

• Disconnect the appliance from themains supply.

• Cut off the mains cable and discard it.• Remove the door catch to prevent

children and pets to get closed in theappliance.

Easy Iron

Easy care fabrics for which a minimum ofironing is necessary. The drying resultscan be different from one type of fabric tothe other. Shake the items before youput them in the appliance. When the pro‐gramme is completed, Immediately re‐move the items and put them on a hang‐er.

6. OPTIONS6.1 Time This option is applicable to the TimeDrying programme and to the Woolprogramme (only with the Drying Rack)..

We recommend that you seta short duration for smallquantities of laundry or foronly one item.

• Time Drying programme: You canset the programme duration, from aminimum of 10 minutes to a maximumof 2 hours. The setting of the durationis related to the quantity of laundry inthe appliance.

• Wool programme: You can set theprogramme duration, from a minimumof 30 minutes to a maximum of 4hours. The setting of the duration isrelated to the quantity of laundry inthe appliance.

6.2 Wool Load This option is applicable only to the Woolprogramme. To get laundry more driedpress the Wool Load touchpad againand again to increase the programmeduration.

6.3 Buzzer you can hear the buzzer at the:• cycle end• start and end of crease guard phase• cycle interruptionThe buzzer function is by default alwayson. You can use this function to activateor deactivate the sound.

You can activate the Buzzeroption with all programmes.

7.1 Child lock functionThis option prevents children to play withthe appliance while a programmeoperates. The programme knob and thetouchpads are locked.Only the on/off button is unlocked.

Activating the child lock option:1. Press the on/off button to activate the

appliance.2. Wait approximately 8 seconds.3. Press and hold touchpads (A) and

(D) at the same time. The child lockindicator comes on.

The child lock indicator comes on.It is possible to deactivatethe child lock option while aprogramme operates. Pressand hold the sametouchpads until the child lockindicator goes off.

7.2 Adjustment of the remaininglaundry moisture degreeTo change the default degree of theremaining moisture of the laundry:1. Press the on/off button to activate the

appliance.2. Wait approximately 8 seconds.3. Press and hold buttons (A) and (B) at

the same time.One of the these indicators comes on:

• the maximum dry laundry• the more dry laundry• the standard dry laundry

4. Press the button (E) again and againuntil the indicator of the correct levelcomes on.

5. To confirm the adjustment, press andhold buttons (A) and (B) at the sametime for approximately 2 seconds.

8. BEFORE FIRST USEBefore you use the appliance for the firsttime do these operations:• Clean the tumble dryer drum with a

moist cloth.• Start a short programme (e.g. 30

minutes) with moist laundry.

At the beginning of dryingcycle (3-5 min.) there couldbe a slightly higher soundlevel. It is because of start ofthe compressor that isnormal for compressorpowered appliances such:refrigerators, freezers.

9. DAILY USE9.1 Start a programme withoutdelay start1. Prepare the laundry and load the

appliance. CAUTION!Make sure that whenyou close the door, thelaundry does not catchbetween the appliancedoor and the rubberseal.

2. Press the on/off button to activate theappliance.

3. Set the correct programme andoptions for the type of load.

The display shows the programmeduration.

The drying time you see isrelated to the load of 5 kg forcotton and jeansprogrammes. For the otherprogrammes the drying timeis related to therecommended loads. Thedrying time of the cotton andjeans programmes with theload more than 5 kg islonger.

4. Press the Start/Pause touchpad.The programme starts.

9.2 Starting the programmewith delay start1. Set the correct programme and

options for the type of load.2. Press the delay start button again

and again until the display shows thedelay time you want to set.

You can delay the startof a programme from aminimum of 30 minutesto a maximum of 20hours.

3. Press the Start/Pause touchpad.The display shows the countdown of thedelay start.When the countdown is completed, theprogramme starts.

9.3 Change a programme1. Press the on/off button to deactivate

appliance2. Press the on/off button to activate the

appliance.3. Set the programme.

9.4 At the end of theprogrammeWhen the programme is completed:• An intermittent acoustic signal

operates.• The indicator flashes.• The indicator flashes.• The Start/Pause indicator is on.The appliance continues to operate withthe crease guard phase forapproximately other 30 minutes.The crease guard phase removescreases from your laundry.You can remove the laundry before thecrease guard phase is completed. Werecommend, for better results, that youremove the laundry when the phase isalmost completed or completed.

• The indicator is on but does notflash.

9.5 Stand-by functionTo decrease the energy consumption,this function automatically deactivatesthe appliance:• After 5 minutes if you do not start the

programme.• After 5 minutes from the end of the

programme.

10. HINTS AND TIPS10.1 Preparing the laundry• Close the zippers.• Close the fasteners of the duvet

covers.• Do not keep ties or ribbons loose (e.g.

apron ribbons). Tie them before youstart a programme.

• Remove all items from the pockets.• If an item has the internal layer made

of cotton, turn it inside out. Make surethat the cotton layer is always external

• We recommend that you set thecorrect programme applicable for thetype of fabrics that are in theappliance.

• Do not put fabrics with strong colourstogether with fabrics with light colours.Strong colours can bleed.

• Use an applicable programme forcotton jersey and knitwear to preventthe items to shrink.

• Make sure that the laundry weight isnot more than the maximum weightthat is in the programme table.

• Dry only the laundry that is applicablefor tumble dryer. Refer to the fabriclabel on the items.

11.4 Cleaning the drumWARNING!Disconnect the appliancebefore you clean it.

Use a standard neutral soap detergent toclean the inner surface of the drum and

drum ribs. Dry the cleaned surfaces witha soft cloth.

CAUTION!Do not use abrasivematerials or steel wool toclean the drum.

11.5 Cleaning the control paneland housingUse a standard neutral soap detergent toclean the control panel and housing.Use a moist cloth to clean. Dry thecleaned surfaces with a soft cloth.

CAUTION!Do not use furniture cleaningagents or cleaning agentswhich can cause corrosionto clean the appliance.

11.6 Cleaning the airflow slotsUse a vacuum cleaner to remove the flufffrom the airflow slots.

12. TROUBLESHOOTINGProblem Possible solutionYou cannot activate the appliance. Make sure that the mains plug is connec‐

ted to the mains socket.

Check fuse in fuse box (domestic installa‐tion).

The programme does not start. Press Start/Pause.

Make sure that the appliance door isclosed.

The appliance door does not close. Make sure that the installation of the filteris correct.

Make sure that the laundry does notcatch between the appliance door andthe rubber seal.

The appliance stops during operation. Make sure that the water container isempty. Press Start/Pause to start the pro‐gramme again.

The display shows a long programme du‐ration. 1)

Make sure that the weight of the laundryis applicable to the duration of the pro‐gramme.

Make sure that the filter is clean.

The laundry is too wet. Spin the laundryin the washing machine again.

Make sure that the room temperature isnot too warm.

The display shows a short programmeduration.

Set the Time Drying or the Extra Dry pro‐gramme.

The display shows Err. If you want to set a new programme, de‐activate and activate the appliance.
