Roars is a part of our school wide Positive Behavior Intervention System. Students receive tickets for positive behavior inside and outside of the classroom. Tickets can be redeemed for prizes.
Class DojoClass Dojo is a website that is used to monitor behavior individually, as a group and as a whole class. Parents download the app and are notified of their child’s behavior throughout the day. A note will be sent home with instructions for viewing our Class Dojo page. I also use Class Dojo for sharing pictures of things that we do in class, messaging and posting reminders.
Charm NecklacesChildren will earn a colored bead when they clip up. These beads can be turned in for a charm and will be placedon a necklace.
Our class uses a positive/ negative clip chart. The students may clip up or down based upon their behavior in class.
Negative consequences are as follows:Step 1 – warningStep 2 - time out at recessStep 3 - phone call home
• Homework is sent home on Monday and must be returned by Friday.
• Once your child has mastered their letters and sounds, they will begin working on sight word lists
• I will begin sending home reading books in September.• Book bags and Communication Folders must come
to school EVERYDAY. • Your child will be assigned a day to read their book
to me and get a new one. This is a part of their homework grade.
• Each month we will send home a family project relating to our unit or the season.
