The meeting was called to order by president Pam Jones with 13 members present.

Devotion was given by Martha Circle.

The secretary’s report was read. A motion to ap-prove the report was seconded and approved.

The treasurer’s report was read with the following balances on hand: general - $1,443.19, kitchen - $3,966.75, mission - $1,816.55, altar - $897.91.

A motion to place the report on file was approved.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:Sunshine – Card was sent to Pat Thompson. A re-quest was made to send a card to Jason and Kahla Weber on the death of Jason’s mother.

ALTAR: Lori looked into new altar cloths but report-ed that Deb Dahlseng had seen some made for Glen-wood Lutheran and thought WELCA could look into it. Once a decision is made, the green ones will be the first replaced. Discussion was held on what to do with the old. It was suggested they could be donated to a new church if they are still usable, or maybe to the Pope County Museum. It was also suggested that the altar cloth could be revamped for the pulpit and lectern.

MISSION GROWTH & ACTION: Nail clippers are needed for kits if there are some found on sale, as well as hand and bath towels in darker colors.

GRV AUXILIARY: Approximately $1,600 was made on the cookie walk. Leftovers were given to the police and hospital. The GRV annual meeting is in March. St. Paul’s will need two desserts and will be serving with Shepherd of the Hills. The meeting is usually the first Sunday in March.

CORRESPONDENCE: Thank yous were received from Pastor Joe, Jennifer Erickson and the yarn lady from WCCO.

OLD BUSINESS:$431 was raised from the Thankoffering, so the amount was rounded up to $450 to be sent in.

Any changes to the WELCA directory need to be in by Monday, January 12.

A decision on whether to continue the Fall Supper Craft Sale was tabled. A new freezer is needed for use during the fall supper. Put request in the newslet-ter. WELCA could use one large or two smaller ones.

There is less than $7,000 remaining for our $100,000 in Tom’s receipts. The criteria for using the money received will have to be checked in to. Decisions on its use was tabled for future discussion.

NEW BUSINESS:The January/February work committee will be in charge of serving the potluck during the annual meeting. Thank you to Myra for calling for servers.

Planning needs to get underway if WELCA is going to hold another Spring Ladies’ event for the commu-nity. It was suggested that Kori Gullickson be asked if she’s interested in continuing the health theme.

The Glacial Ridge Conference spring gathering is April 20 at Our Redeemers in Benson. Wayne and Donna Kopischke will be giving the presentation on angels. Items will be collected for the Girls Ranch and Women’s Shelter in Benson. List of items needed is on the bulletin board in church and will be posted in the newsletter. Lundblads will be picking up items for Lutheran World Relief and Marie Sandvik. They may pick our donations up before heading to Ben-son.

A question was raised on getting congregation members to volunteer or help out when we need ex-tra hands. Discussion was held on creating Time and Talent and/or Helping Hands sheets for congregation members willing to be called for help.

A bill for the repair of the dishwasher was sent to WELCA but was forwarded on to the council.

Mission Quilting—January 27, 1-4 p.m. and January 28, 9 a.m. to noon.

Meeting closed with The Lord’s Prayer.

Bell Tower Painting – Research continues from Mike & Sam for onsite sandblasting.

Parsonage Updates – Windows – Jonathan did some sanding and attempted cleaning up the mildew – Jon reported that despite the sanding and cleaning, the windows are in rough shape and suggest that the windows/casing/trim be replaced; further discussion in this spring.

Insurance Reimbursement from Break-in - $374.06 was given to the Sunday School Checking Account for the value of the TV.

Two Christmas Eve Services went over well – 89 attendees for early service & 208 for late service. Worked well!

Amended Policy for Harold Anderson Fund: As rec-ommended by Luther Crest Bible Camp and in order to practically sustain this fund amid rising costs of camp and significant growth in youth at SPLC. This is a change from 100% coverage for confirmation age children and 100% coverage for elementary age chil-dren after deposit for overnight camp fees. – Motion to approve by Jonathan, seconded by Katerri. MO-TION PASSED

We did it, St. Paul's! Our collection of receipts from Tom's Market reached our goal of $100,000.

WELCA received $1,000 from this endeavor and will put that money toward something needed by St. Paul's Church.

But we're not done! Keep the slips coming - it's not a one-time project and for each $100,000 in receipts that we collect, we will receive $1,000.

KEEP THE RECEIPTS COMING!

We reached out goal!
