FEAR OF THE LORD

O the blessedness of those who mourn, for they shall

be comforted.

KNOWLEDGE

O the blessedness of the meek, for they shall

inherit the earth.

PIETY

O the blessedness of those who hunger and

thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

FORTITUDE

O the blessedness of the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

COUNSEL

O the blessedness of the pure in heart,

for they shall see God.

UNDERSTANDING

O the blessedness of the peacemakers, for they shall

be called sons of God.

WISDOM

O the blessedness of those who are persecuted for

righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
