One Mans Opinion

Part ISt. Patricks Day is coming. The city is gearing up and turning itselfgreen. AAANNNNDDDDD bars can sell alcohol on Sundays duringthe holiday. Id say thats a good start, yet I stand by my reasoningthat all bars, clubs and lounges should be able to sell alcohol onSundays now that liquor stores and convenience stores can sell. Any-way, thats a good first step. Maybe next year.

Part IIOK, Im getting tired of waiting on the completion of the Truman Parkway. I need to go to the east

side twice per week and being able to use the Parkway would cut off so much time. They had a grandopening about two weeks ago, then we were told that no we were just kidding well open in a cou-ple of weeks...now that those weeks has passed, its, well let you know the day before we open.Well just call me because Im tired of looking and waiting.

Part IIIIts almost time for March Madness, by the way, both of Savannah States teams won their openinground games in the MEAC tournament with the tournament winner receiving an automatic berth in the

NCAA tournament. But I digress, whoever enters and picks a perfect bracket in the upcoming NCAA

tournament will win $1,000,000,000. Yes thats One Billion with a B Dollars. Quicken Loans andWarren Buffet are offering 40 payments of $25 million or a lump sum of $500 million. Just so youknow, the raw chances are 1 in 9.2 quintillion (thats 18 zeros after the 9). So why not take a chance, Iknow I intend to. Who knows, lighting just might strike.
