how bubblegum is made

How Bubble gum is Made By Audrey Tam Bubble gum is a kind of sweet that we can chew and blow bubbles with. There are different types of bubble gum and different colors and flavors of gum too. The types of flavored gum could be strawberry, melon, mint, blueberry, orange but there are more flavors. The colors of the gum could be pink, green, blue white and more. I will explain how bubblegum is made and the process of it. First of all, the workers pour the gum base into a mixture, then they add color and flavor and mix it in a machine. While the machine is mixing it, another machine will pour some glucose syrup into the mixture to keep the gum base soft and they will also add dextrose to the gum base as well. Then the mixture is left to blend for 20 minutes just to make sure everything is mixed properly. After the mixture is blended, it is transferred into another machine. The machine then squeezes the mixture through holes that transform the big bulky wad into manageable strips. Therefore, it makes it easier to cut and wrap it, the next step of the process. After this process, the gum becomes very hot because it has just come out of the machine, so it is put into the cooling chamber to cool down, if it isn't cooled down, the gum will melt and stick to the wrapper when it is wrapped. Now it is time for the cut and wrap process. A machine slices the gum strips into the right size then another machine wraps it into wrappers. Packaging is the next step. Some machines weigh the amount of gum that should be put into every package, then it is poured into a container. Then to make sure it is in its best condition before you buy it, they seal the container with plastic wrap to make it airtight and fresh. After this, the gum will be shipped overseas or transported to shops and then the workers will put it on their shelves. Finally, we can buy it and then eat it! Bubblegum has been enjoyed for decades and continues to be a popular sweet for children and adults.
