Before you start the account set up you need to make sure you have some

First you need to have a scanned copy of your company’s Chinese business license

You will also need to fill in the WeChatauthorization document

First you have to visit the WeChat public account set up page

You will receive an email from a member of the WeChat team

Click on the link to take you to the next stage

Here you select public (组织) or personal (个人) account and your business type:

enterprise 企业

And then fill in all the rest of the information

It’s important to note that the account will be refused if the ID card number, the

picture of the ID card holder and the details on the authorization form are not

consistent

Finally, fill in the WeChat account details

Now you have to wait up to seven days for WeChat to check the documents

Next you can preview the WeChatmanagement interface

Once your account is approved you can login from the WeChat Public Platform homepage

Some final points to note about WeChatPublic Account set up:

• A Chinese ID number can only be used for two WeChat accounts

• The set up process should take no longer than one hour if all documents are prepared in advance
