Alternativas: basado en la informacin relevante recolectada se describen las soluciones viables al problema que satisfagan el objetivo:

Flujo de efectivo: conformado por las entradas (ingresos) y salidas (costos) de dinero.

Las estimaciones de los flujos de caja deben ser lo ms realistas posibles para evitar variaciones significativas durante la implementacin.

El anlisis debe contemplar impuestos e inflacin cuando no impacten a las alternativas de manera equitativa.

Seleccionar la major alternativa: la medida de valor es el elemento primario para seleccionar la mejor alternativa.

Si la alternativa A tiene una tasa de retorno de 15,2% por ao y la B del 16,9%; B es mejor.

Pueden existir factores no econmicos o intangibles que deben ser considerados y pueden alterar la decisin (sociales, ambientales, legales, polticos).
