A well educated and trained workforce provides for
reliable and economical operation. Qualified and
motivated personnel safeguard the availability and
economic efficiency of your plants in the long term.
The LOESCHE Training Center uses the princi-
ple of ‚integrated learning‘ (blended learning con-
cept) with the aid of the latest learning methods
and media. LOESCHE combines computer based
training courses and live online seminars with
traditional attending teaching in order to consolidate
the knowledge so imparted in the best manner pos-
sible and with lasting effect.

ers, eLearning authors and technical trainers drafts
and creates classroom training, eLearning courses,
webinars, documents and manuals in accordance
with the latest media-didactic principles, tailored to
the needs and requirements of the learners.
The Training Center develops knowledge manage-
ment strategies and tools - working closely with
Human Resource and technical departments at
LOESCHE.
The team is also in charge for terminology and
translation activities within the LOESCHE group.

In general, blended learning means combining
different teaching methods, techniques and
resources and applying them in an interactively
meaningful environment to create an optimum
training program for a specific audience. A blended
learning approach combines the social aspects of
face-to-face training with computer-mediated in-
struction (digital training).
The combination of attended teaching and digital
training has already successfully established itself
in the advanced vocational training of LOESCHE
personnel and is also used for customer training.
Blended Learning Concept
Page 8
In the framework of blended learning, the LOESCHE
Training Center relies on two main pillars of education,
which are combined with each other: the well-estab-
lished face-to-face training (for example in a classroom
or in the course of a seminar) and digital training (in
form of eLearning courses or webinars).
Continuous expansion of the training package - in terms
of content and teaching methods - will ensure that the
customers receive targeted advanced vocational training.
To consider the importance of social processes, when
it comes to learning, LOESCHE also implemented a
webinar platform.

LOESCHE offers basically two different ways of digital training - the asynchro-
nous eLearning and the live (synchronous) online training in a virtual class-
room (webinars). eLearning offers complete self-determination for each learn-
er, online control of the learning status for both the learner and the trainer, and
standardised learning contents with continuous evaluation. Since eLearning is
not tied to a specific time and place, it offers greatest possible flexibility for the
learner and reduces travel costs for all training participants.
Additionally, LOESCHE integrated virtual classrooms (webinars) in the train-
ing portfolio to meet the social requirements of learners. Participants of these
online seminars can discuss problems and come up with solutions together.
Therefore, webinars combine the advantages of both, face-to-face training
and eLearning.

Face-to-face training is the most established ‘classical’ training meth-
od. Following this approach, LOESCHE offers training on the job
(practical instructions), classroom training and technical seminars.
Engineers with long-term experience at LOESCHE are tasked with
the training in vertical roller mill technology, as well as with the train-
ing of experienced process engineers and maintenance personnel.
In the course of practical instructions and classroom training the
participants are taught the basics and background knowledge
pertaining to LOESCHE technology. Optimum learning effect is
achieved thanks to a limited number of participants and active
integration of the learners. Regular intermediate tests show the level
of the learning progress.

In addition to practical and classroom training, LOESCHE offers
technical seminars. These social events enable networking and
interaction between specialists from different plants or industrial
sectors. These seminars are presented courses on subjects with
practical relevance. In the course of these events a platform is
offered on which knowledge can be imparted, information and
ideas exchanged, and joint strategies developed. Participants of
these seminars can discuss problems and come up with solutions
together. Learning from one another is the central focus here.
All lecturers or presenters are well versed in LOESCHE technology,
LOESCHE products and worldwide applications. Therefore, they are
able to impart first-hand knowledge.

LOESCHE’s entire training portfolio is aimed at manage-
ment-level employees, process and plant engineers, and
maintenance / upkeep personnel. Every learning content
is adapted to the level of knowledge of the respective
target group.
The objective is to train your employees on a requirements-
oriented basis in order to ensure optimum plant availability.

When it comes to face-to-face training, LOESCHE offers different possibilities for
customised training measures.
• On a nation-wide scale, a ‘local training’ is organised at a chosen plant site
and the customer invites employees from his nearby plants to join the training.
• ‘Regional training’ focuses on training participants of one customer
coming from different countries. In this way, the customer offers his employees
the possibility to share their knowledge and experiences on an international
basis.
• Finally, in the course of a ‘global training’ LOESCHE welcomes worldwide
employees of one customer to a centralised training location, normally based
at the LOESCHE headquarters in Germany or at one of the LOESCHE
subsidiaries.
Training locations

Due to the different training methods and courses, the learn-
ing environment differs for the training participants.
During a webinar the LOESCHE trainer is normally located
at the LOESCHE headquarters and presents his training
contents to the participants spread all over the world. This
saves travel costs, reduces travel time and protects the en-
vironment.
To take part in an online training, the only pre-requisites are
a computer, a stable internet connection and a headset.
A personalised login name and a password ensures data
integrity and security.
The LOESCHE Training Center team supervises all online
participants throughout the entire training measure.
