Theres one more game to conclude

    the Cal Ripken City Tournament,

and it will be played this evening at

    5:30. Sunday afternoon Glasgow

    Distributors defeated Albertsons/

    Courier 10-8 to force tonights

second title game in true double

    elimination action. Down 9-3 going

into the bottom of the 4th inning,

    Albertsons/Courier made a great

comeback in scoring ve runs to

cut the lead to 9-8, but Glasgow

    Distributors added another run in

the top of the 5th and their pitcherRiley Smith (pictured above) would

    hold Albertsons/Courier scoreless

their next two at-bats. These two

teams battle it out again tonight to

    determine the champions. Sounds

like good weather, so come out and

    catch some baseball.

    For all the marbles

    Hes safe!Glasgow Distributors

Carter Hoerster takes offfrom second base and

    would be waved home in

what was a close play at

    the plate. And while there

    were a lot of umpires

    in the stands behind

    the outeld fence who

    disagreed with the ruling,

at right is the proof that

    the ump behind home

    plate called it right!

Really gotta know your balls Yep, when it comes to hail, you really gotta knowyour balls and even some loose change to determine thetype o hail youre getting! Dime size, penny size, nickel size, quarter size, andthen it jumps into ping pong balls, gol balls, then itsa big transition into tennis balls or baseballs, and then

you even have the dreaded sofballs. Why dont theyever use blue balls as a hail measurement... you knowthose blue racquet balls, which could fit in size betweenthe gol balls and tennis balls? As or Glasgow, I think we got the ping pong ballsthis past Saturday evening while Zac said Nashua hadrom dime size to quarter size hail leaving a mess in hisyard. So conusing... hail should be measured in metrics
