    Notes from Father Joseph -

    Stewardship renewal: This weekend we

    are beginning our annual stewardship

renewal. As we approach 2021, Blessed

Trinity needs your support. We ask that you

make a commitment to all that Blessed

Trinity is and does for our community. Your

incredible generosity has made our parish an awesome

place. It is a house of God for all peoples seeking to

know, to love, and to serve Jesus Christ. Through monu-

mental efforts by the staff, our school is overflowing with

joy-filled students. Religious education is on to a new

year with new endeavors. What love our parish family

has shown for God and for our neighbor!

Mary’s Retirement: Mary Gamer, our parish secretary

for over 25 years, will be retiring and her last day with us

    will be Thursday, November 12

    th

. We wish Mary and her

husband Rick all the best. Not one to draw attention to

herself, Mary politely asked that nothing big be done by the

parish. Instead, given her longtime of service as St. Patrick

Cemetery’s sexton, I gifted her two plots at the cemetery

on behalf of the parish. Unless you know Mary that might

seem a little morbid, but it’s exactly what she wanted!

Besides that, I urge you to send Mary a card of gratitude

and congratulations to the parish office. Even if they arrive

after her last day, we’ll make sure she gets them.

New Parish Secretary: I am happy to announce that

Teri Hellenbrand has been hired as the new parish

secretary. She officially started work on Monday, Novem-

    ber 2

    nd

, and will be able to shadow Mary for the next two

weeks. Thanks to all the candidates who applied and,

as the pastor, we welcome Teri to the parish staff.

I appreciate your patience with Teri as she navigates and

learns the in’s and out’s of her new position.

Capital Campaign Support: In December, 2020 we

will wrap up the active phase of our United Together in

Faith: Rejoice and Renew campaign. To date, almost

400 people have made gifts or commitments to this spe-

cial campaign. Yet, in order to realize our true potential,

we need the support of all our members. So I’m writing

again to simply ask, “Can we add your name to our

already great and growing list of campaign contributors?”

As someone who is myself new to the parish, seeing

all the good that has been done, I have decided person-

ally to contribute $1,000 toward this campaign. By mak-

ing a gift, we’ll be able to add your name to our planned

donor recognition at the end of the campaign in which

we plan to list all of our donors. Please help continue the

mission of Blessed Trinity. All gifts must be received by

December 31, 2020 to be included in our donor

    recognition. Thank you in advance!

Praying for the Dead: The entire month of November

is dedicated to praying for the dead. We have a Book of

the Dead in each church throughout the month. While

the names of those parishioners who have passed away

over the last year are already inscribed, you can inscribe

the names of other deceased loved ones for us to keep

    in our prayers.

    In the peace of Christ,
