This part is the second part of Unit 8,senior English (Book I). It talks about the development ,the influence, the motto of the Olympic Games and the effect that people contribute to it.
Sport is quite close t our modern life. Most students are familiar with the Olympic Games, which will be helpful for our teaching arrangement.

From the requirement of education and the aim of the language study, we should pay attention to the training of the students’ reading ability. According to the structure of the teaching material, reading is the most important part of every unit, which is the expansion and extension of the activity of listening and speaking.
