What You Need1 c sugar1 c brown sugar4 eggs beaten1 c oil1 1/2 c self-rising flour1 tsp vanilla2 c pecans, finely chopped

Sweet Alabama Pecan Bread

Directions• Preheat oven to 350 degrees.• Lightly grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking dish.

• Using a wooden spoon, stir together sugar, brown sugar, eggs and oil in a medium bowl until smooth.• Stir in flour and vanilla. Add pecans, then stir until evenly mixed.

• Spoon into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.

In 1970, Leo Aguilar was a senior and a member of the Fighting Falcons football team of Los Fresnos High School. In late September 1970, Leo was injured during football practice and passed away 10 days later. Since 1971, in honor of Leo’s leadership and commitment to his community, the Leo Aguilar Memorial Scholarship Fund has been awarding scholarships to students of Los Fresnos High School to help further their education. Please join us in this very worthy cause.
