Annual Mobilization Awareness Training is a minimum requirement for all personnel who may be called to make a Mobilization response.

ACTIVATION OF REGIONAL PLAN

Incident Commander(s) shall request through Capcom activation of the Central Region Plan. Capcom will contact coordinator(s) for request initiation.

Statewide Mobilization

When the mutual aid resources of the Region are used up and the Incident is still occurring, the Statewide plan can be requested and activated.

The commitment

*12 hours for Regional Incident

* 14 days for State Mobilization, plus travel

All resources must have a Resource Number!

Will conduct initial equipment check-in using an inspection checklist. Must pass inspection.

Apparatus must be in complete working order with no safety related defects (I.e. missing/burnt out lights)

Inappropriate Behavior

It is extremely important that inappropriate behavior be recognized and dealt with promptly.

Inappropriate behavior is all forms of harassment including sexual and racial and shall not be tolerated.See FL handbook page 76,77 for

information on how to deal with harassment.

Police each other. If you see someone doing something wrong in your crew of ST/TF, make it right.

Work together.

Personal hygiene

May not be the same as at home.Needs to occur regularly.Change socks and underwear

for duration.

Field Training

Opportunities for field training may exist. Check with STL or TFL.

Some on site review training may take place (I.e. fire shelters)

Daily/Mob. Documentation

CTR’s, Emerg. Shift Tickets, and Unit Logs (front copy) must be signed and turned in daily. See STL or TFL if questions. Must be done to get paid!

Make sure documentation is accurate and kept throughout each day.

Should attend all briefings.

Make sure work hours correct.

Lunch is now included as of 2008.

Explain methods of compensation reimbursement.Career vs. Volunteer

Career personnel are paid directly by their agency at their normal pay rate. Volunteers are paid by WSP at the appropriate rate and must fill out paperwork PRIOR to deployment!
