Cancer can strike at any age

Benji was diagnosed with colon cancer in March 2012.

He is only 34 years of age. Benji has been married for 14 years. He has 3 beautiful children Benji hauled wrecked cars for a living. There is no known colon cancer in the

family. Medical doctors are thinking his cancer is

genetic.

Symptoms that something was wrong

Benji was sick for a few years. Every time he ate he was sick immediately. Stomach would bloat. Excruciating pain in his lower back. Test after test came back ok. CT Scans showed nothing. Went to ER for what he thought was flu. Blood work came back bad. He was severely anemic.

Finding out about the cancer

Benji’s family doctor set up an appointment for endoscopy and colonoscopy.

When the surgeon done the colonoscopy he found a large tumor on the colon.

A biopsy was taken from the tumor. 3 days later Benji found out it was

cancerous. 4 days later after surgery to remove tumor

we found out that is was metastasis.

When he found out he had cancer he said “First I was mad then I was sad, now I am back on my feet and ready to fight! With Gods help of course.”

A Family Man

Benji loves his family. Always taking them on vacation. Plays games with them. Takes them fishing. Loves taking the kids to Billy Bob’s. Hard worker to support his family.

He has decided to be part of a clinical trial!!!
