Present, Todd Longville, Hunter Schindler; Eugene Mertens; and Rod Bowar. Absent Jared Schelske. Also present was Sarah Caslin, Finance Officer and Charlie Gran, City Superintendent and Amy Jo Janssen of Janssen Law. CALL TO ORDER: Meeting was called to order by Chairman Longville at 7:03 pm. OLD BUSINESS: Motion by Bowar seconded by Schindler to call and have Broz Engineering to come and survey Railroad land. Cell Tower Request was updated by Janssen and Motion by Mertens seconded by Schindler to approve the Cell Tower lease per legal counsel recommendation. Motion by Mertens seconded by Schindler to approve a $15,000 to get the clinic a filtration Hood, countertop, and new doors. Ordinance No. 2021-1 Appropriations Ordinance by given its seconded reading. Said ordinance was read in full. Thereupon Mertens moved, seconded by Schindler that said ordinance be adopted and published. Motion by Schindler, seconded by Bowar to certify the max amount of property tax levy for general purposes for 2021: $8 4,779.00. NEW BUSINESS: Motion by Schindler seconded by Bowar to add another electric pedestal out at Lake Byre. Electronic board in front of the library will now be serviced by the new librarian, meaning that if you would like something on the board please contact Kennebec Library. Quarterback Teagan Gourneau set the pace for the night with a two yard run for the first touchdown of the night. He then added two more points with a pass to Tyson Floyd making the score 8-0. The Comets also made a touchdown to finish the first quarter with a 8-6 score. Students judge plants and soil BY: AALIYAH JONES Mr. Milton’s Intro to AFNR and Animal Science classes ventured down to the Cooper school grounds, five miles south of Reliance, on Tuesday September 15. They joined students from several other towns for a Land and Range Judging contest where they learned about different plants and types of soil. Gourneau finished off the night by running in a three yard touchdown and a successful two point conversion. The Raiders headed home happy after defeating the Comets 46-20. The Kennebec Town Board of Trustees met in scheduled session on September 14, 2020 at the Main Street Plaza Suite 5. Present, Todd Longville, Hunter Schindler; Eugene Mertens; and Rod Bowar. Absent Jared Schelske. Also present was Sarah Caslin, Finance Officer and Charlie Gran, City Superintendent and Amy Jo Janssen of Janssen Law.
