Brief Posting DescriptionPerform all phases of land work, from leasing through completion and production, including the negotiation anddrafting of all related contractual agreements with third partiesDetailed Description

Analyze and interpret lease purchase agreements and trade agreements, including oil and gas leases,assignments, like-kind acreage exchange agreements joint operating agreements, geophysical options, andother contracts.

Evaluate acreage, develop lease offers and review title to determine ownershipInvestigate reports of lease position of competitive companiesCoordinate the acquisition of oil and gas leases and title work both internally and through outside vendorsVerify ownership and conduct due diligenceDraft and obtain assignments and other curative documents for acquisition of clear title of leasehold into

Company.Assemble data and maps in connection with acreageCoordinate with Rental Analyst to maintain and review rental/lease expiration deadlines to determine renewal

of leasesAnalyze lease terms and determine continuous drilling requirements.Coordinate with Land Associates and Land Techs to distribute varies tasks/duties related to assigned

geographical area in answering daily questions and operations. Provide both written and oral presentations toManagement

Prepare and negotiate farmout/farmin, joint operating agreements or other contractual agreements asnecessary.

Manage a budget and provide a detail account of all Land related expendituresIdentify and potentially negotiate new acreage opportunities

Job RequirementsIndependent judgment and in-depth knowledge of lease purchase agreements, JOAs, Acreage Exchange

Agreements and other land related contracts.Understanding of lease contracts and acreage positionsSuperior negotiation skills working on various oil and gas land transactionsMust possess advanced analytical and research skillsKnowledge of multiple state and federal regulations in our areas of operationStrategic thinker with ability to identify areas of improvement and to introduce innovative and sound solutionsAbility to prepare and present clear, concise and persuasive oral/written opinions, reports and presentationsProficiency with the Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) is required as well as

proficiency with land related data management softwareExtremely organized and deadline focused individual with the capacity to plan, prioritize and complete

multiple projects providing regular communication and updates to the team and Management. Must beproficient at time management.

Proven ability to effectively interact with a multidisciplinary oil and gas team and capacity to establishprofessional credibility with internal and external contacts

Energetic self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility of workingextended hours as needed

Proven record of working independently, under minimal direct supervisionAdditional Details

Juris Doctorate strongly preferred. If combined with Juris Doctorate, 5+ years practical experience working asa Landman for a Land Broker or Land Services Company is acceptable -OR-

BS Degree in Petroleum Land Management. If combined with BS Degree in Land or Energy Management,MUST HAVE 10+ years Oil and Gas Landman experience working IN HOUSE for an Exploration & ProductionOperator. Experience must include working Rocky Mountains assets;

Williston Basin experience desired.Ability to travel (15%-20%)CPL designation from the AAPL preferredFederal/State Lands experience preferredIndian Lands leasing experience preferred
