“2011 was an year in which we showed we were able to overcome the problems arising from the economic, financial and political scenario: deterioration of credit quality, recession, sovereign debt crisis. Despite all this, in 2011 Banca IFIS has recorded the best results in its history, and is now preparing for the future, thinking about businesses, savers and families” said Chairman von Furstenberg.Let’s look at the most significant items in detail:

The entire period (01/01/2011 – 31/12/2011):

•• Increase in net banking income of 28.6% to 121.4 million Euro.• Growth in net profit from financial activities of 27.6% to 89.3 million Euro.• Further improvement in the impact of costs on net banking income (cost/income ratio) which ended 2011 at 39.1%. • Significant increase in profit for the year which exceeded 26.5 million Euro, up by 42.5%.• Solvency at 10.8%•• Core Tier 1 at 11.2%• ROE at 12.6%

In the fourth quarter (01/10/2011 – 31/12/2011):

• Increase in net banking income of 42.0% to 37.6 million Euro.• Increase net profit from financial activities which stood at 24.4 million Euro (+53.1%).• Sharp increase in profit for the period, +90.6% (5.5 million Euro).

“We“We are well aware of the day-to-day problems facing businesses. We invite owners of healthy companies, believing in the value of their own work and generating quality trade receivables, to place their trust in Banca IFIS: together we will find the best solution to support their operations and allow them to continue to do business and build their future,” stated the Chief Executive Officer Giovanni Bossi, adding his comments on funding “the response from savers and families to rendimax has been fantastic, and has deeply changed the Bank. Before rendimax we were limited to the interbank market, whichwhich in recent years has lost its momentum, but now the liquidity of our deposit account allows us to guarantee businesses and the real economy every possible support. An impressive change in terms of size and speed. Presence on social networks has shown investors our range, prompting conversation, and has enabled us to listen to the market needs, giving substance to our new products such as rendimax Like, which has driven all the funding activity, even in the first few months of 2012. We have always believed in the Euro, and in the working spirit of Italy. Today, with 4 billion euros invested in Italian governmentgovernment securities, we are one of the most important banks for the acquired portfolio, also in relation to our size. The profits we will receive from this activity in the coming years, once taxes have been paid, will strengthen the Bank’s equity and will therefore go back into the real economy”.

On March 22nd, the Board of Directors approved the Group’s results for the 2011 period. There was plenty of expectation for the financial-equity data, specifically in order to assess the Group’s reaction to the difficult economic situation currently experienced by Italy, a country deteriorated by recession, credit crunch and sovereign debt crisis. Despite the difficult times, in 2011 the Group posted the best performance of its entire history. entire history.

The evolution of rendimax, the Banca IFIS online savings account, was as quick as it was effective. Its natural landing to what is known as the Web 2.0 is in fact one of the keys to the success of a savings tool account already appreciated by the market. In addition to the increase in number of customers and of deposits made, rendimax holds a record: it is the first savings account designed online together with the savers. Indeed,Indeed, thanks to a series of surveys conducted on the Internet, in December of 2011 Banca IFIS introduced rendimax Like, the free on-call savings account launched through a daily conversation with the users on the social networks and on the specialised forum FinanzaOnLine.

In addition to the growing number of customers, the strength and success of this product has contributed to Banca IFIS being awarded the 2011 top spot in the banking sector by “SocialMediAbility of Italian Companies: a year later”, the research conducted by the Università IULM evaluating the presence and interaction of companies in the social networks.rendimax is on Facebook, with its official page, and on the following channels:• Twitter: a veritable online customer care service;•• LinkedIn: the group discussing about economy and finance;• SalvaRisparmio: the blog for discussing and exchanging views on the topic of savings;• The Google+ and Pinterest profiles, the latest additions in order to improve the online services addressed to our community of users.AllAll these services are designed to offer a new concept of 2.0 Bank, in other words entirely dedicated to the world of the Internet and to the capabilities and logics that such world offers in handling customer relations, and which are a prelude to rendimax becoming a current account.TheThe Bank’s focus on the online world is combined with a high-standard and efficient telephone service, which customers can contact by dialling the toll-free number 800.522.122 from Mondays to Fridays from 8:00 am until 8 pm, and on Saturdays from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm.

There will be greater focus on the management of non-performing loans acquired by the Toscana Finanza division, which shows excellent recovery possibilities strongly related to the activities currently underway, constantly striving for greater excellence in portfolio management. For tax credits generated by bankruptcy proceedings, the activity of the subsidiary Fast Finance is suitably positioned for generating growing income flows. DuringDuring the first weeks of 2012, the size of the bond portfolio was increased significantly, up to a total of over 4.5 billion Euros. The purchased bonds are all Italian government bonds, with short-term maturity dates and fixed rate or medium-term maturity dates and variable rate. It can be reasonably expected for these bonds to generate considerable income in 2012 and in the following periods.ThereThere are significant expectations concerning the growth of the retail collection by the online savings account rendimax which, during the course of 2012 will be adding the typical characteristics of a current account to its already important capabilities. The collection generated by the rendimax retail collection will allows the bank to easily plan its financial growth.Overall,Overall, it is possible to forecast a positive trend in profits, which should rise sharply above all, but not exclusively, due to the additional profits arising from the security business, and a simultaneous increase in solvency as a result of the capitalisation of said profits. With regards to the Bank’s traditional and new sectors, we expect: a positive trend of the margins in the sector of loans to enterprises, with a risk element represented by the current economic situation and its impact on the quality of the credit; an increase in operations and in the margins in the sector of non-performing loans; a pick-up in profitabilityprofitability and the opening to products and services that have yet to be explored in favour of procedures as concerns the operations of the subsidiary Fast Finance, for which the merger process into the parent Company has been initiated. Such process is expected to be completed by the end of the year following the authorization by the Supervisory Body.

Starting from the strengthening in equity and liquidity generated by the rendimax retail channel, the Group intends to enhance its presence in the real economy. An increase in loans is planned in order to both support the financing of industrious small and medium size companies capable of achieving significant growth and to enhance the pharma-industrial segment, which offers excellent refinancing opportunities and interesting yields. refinancing opportunities and interesting yields.

Among the various initiatives undertaken by the Banca IFIS Group, the cooperation with Fondazione CUOA stands out. FondazioneFondazione CUOA is a management school that has been operating at the international level since 1957. Its peculiar feature is the strong bond with the economic-entrepreneurial sector in which it works, which guarantees the school – in addition to scientific rigour – a considerable applicative nature. TheThe feather in the cap of its teaching offer is CUOA Finance, which represents the school’s specific focus on the finance market and on its main market players, such as: banks, insurance companies and financial services.

The cooperation between the Banca IFIS Group and Fondazione CUOA has led to a partnership agreement under two profiles: • Contributing to the second edition of the Master in Finance;• Cycle of meetings dedicated to the enterprises who are Banca IFIS customers on topics of corporate and financial culture.ThisThis second item is developed through the course “Tools and techniques for a better relationship between enterprise and bank”, dedicated to entrepreneurs, General Managers, CFOs, and Controllers of companies located in the North-eastern Italy (Padova, Pordenone, Treviso and Vicenza branches) with the goal of:• encouraging the development of a financial enterprise culture: finance as a strategic lever in support of the enterprise’s business;•• suggesting techniques and tools with which to plan financial resources and evaluate the financial sustainability of the debt;• understanding how to properly communicate the bank’s development projects and financial plans. The course consists of three meetings, which are held at the registered office of Banca IFIS, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.The meetings are upon invitation and free of charge.

AnotherAnother important cooperation is the one involving the Decimo Salone d’Impresa (Tenth Enterprise Tradeshow), which will be held on May 18th and May 19th at Villa Furstenberg (Venice Mestre), the headquarters of Banca IFIS. This year’s edition will be dedicated to the Liquid Enterprise, as coined by Bauman.TheThe event, attracting an audience of approximately 500 entrepreneurs and top managers, aims to analyse the new relationship between bank and enterprise, evaluating its evolution in terms of the approach and management of the partnership between these two economic institutes.
