NITIE has churned excellence in all domains of postGraduate education ever since its inception and certainly, summerplacements for the class of 2017 were in line with rich tradition of theyesteryears. As the placements for this year wrap up with a flourish, I amoverjoyed with the overwhelming reception for the students of NITIE by theindustry and also with inclusion of several new recruiters in the fold this year.
As an institute, NITIE has never compromised on its mission of knowledge ledproductivity growth and the same has been upheld by the vast trust shownby recruiters in this season of placements. The unwavering spirit andcontinued endeavor of being a symbol of excellence has been the consistentreason for the institute being ranked among the leading Institutes of thecountry.

As professor-in-charge of placements in NITIE, I am filled with immense pleasureas yet another successful season of summer placements in NITIE for the class of2017, comes to a close.
The summer placements for the class of 2017 was remarkable as NITIE saw adiverse mix of companies spread across various domains and functions, offeringniche roles to the students. Yet again, NITIE remained the choice for recruiters forSupply Chain and Operations role. However, other domains of management, beit Finance or Marketing also made their presence felt in the placement report.

HIGHLIGHTS
National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) witnessed a stellar turnout during the summerplacement process for the batch of 2017.
In line with the final placements, this year has seen a substantial increase in the number of first timerecruiters visiting the campus. The average compensation has also increased by 35% over the previousyear.
A wide spectrum of 110 companies from different sectors ranging from FMCG, Manufacturing toFinance, E-Commerce and Consulting participated in the process.
Giants of the industry from various sectors have reposed their confidence in the quality and caliber ofstudents from NITIE.
INTERNATIONAL Placements
The season witnessed 3 international offers being rolled out in Retail sector from M H Alshaya, Kuwait visiting the campus
for the first time. Students were also sent to UK, Brazil and South Africa for international assignments by top FMCG
majors in India.

Students of Class of 2017 have work experience ranging across
various sectors of industry. IT and SCM/Operations background
students are larger in number but the other sectors also made their
presence felt.
NITIE, true to its legacy, draws talent from a multitude of work
experience backgrounds. The Class of 2017 is perfect blend of
fresh graduates and experienced professionals. It is a set of
students from diverse engineering backgrounds coming form
prestigious institutes like IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani etc.
